I've got 2 fuel on wednesday evening, a burger at lunchtime and a pub visit on the evening on thursday, 4 egg jobs, a burger, a cat store and 3 crisp photos.... nothing in for Sat/Sun yet - think i'll keep it that way!

I've managed to book myself 4 eggs jobs, a bookies and a pub for saturday - kinda wishing I had a bit less now...

    * I applied for 129 Egg jobs and got allocated...... 16! I phoned them up before they got allocated to speak to them about something else, and the girl I spoke to brought up my profile and almost fell off her chair when she saw how many I'd applied for. I replied that my success rate is normally about 10%, hence the massive number of applications. She just chuckled and seemed to agree with me!
    .

When you are applying for jobs what do you write in the justification pop-up? I have tried everything but none of it seems very successful. Having said that 10% is probably my rate too

I just cut and paste the same thing into all of the applications - normally something like "I would like to apply for this job, I have read the brief and understand what is required. I can complete the job by the date indicated. Thanks!"

I've noticed it does kinda help if you say that you would only accept the jobs if assigned X number in a particular area.

    * GFK can't manually increase the radius of visits that you can see. The email reply I got to my question from the other day is that the system will automatically increase the radius of the job itself if it's not picked up quickly until someone does then pick it up (does that make sense?).
That's interesting, I wondered why I occasionally get offered jobs a huge (well relatively) distance away from me. Obviously on occasions when they've stuggled to get someone to do them.

Mind you Gap rang me the other day to do a job in Wales, I did try and explain that it was in another country but not sure he believed me. Poor man. To be fair, I did do a couple of jobs in that area last year when we on a trip away so can see why he thought maybe I lived near there. You'd think they have some sort of map software to work out the distances before they ring us!

Yeah, I think they mainly go on where you've shopped before. I get offered jobs (not just by gap actually - RE too) for places miles from where I work or live but it just happens to be somewhere I visited once and did a shop.

You're right, Abai do it sometimes too. We often go on days out and try and combine it with a mystery shop or 2 to cover the petrol so have all sort of different places in my history I guess.

Ive only done one job so far this month has had a dreadful virus - I am still recovering. Only job was a pizza one for which the system never did let me enter details and after numerous emails I will be reimbursed. Got 5 egg jobs this week so thats something and luckily they are all really near. Just need to think of something suitable to buy and take back now without looking suspicious!!
  • Just applied for 12 of the mobile phone shops on ESA. Wonder how many I'll get.

My current success rate is 1 in >300 !!! So I'm not holding my breath or keeping the date free!!
