Hello everyone, has anyone ever done any of the "death" shops on ESA ive applied for 6 of them and they involve a reveal which I do like, just wondered if anyone else had ever done them, i suspect it maybe limited to the North of the country. On the plus side ive just been allocated 8 egg jobs which im looking forward to as its been quite for 2 or 3 weeks.0

I tend to voice record shops. With the iphone the microphone on the headphones will pick up a conversation so I set it off recording before I enter the shop, a couple of coughs at certain points (end of the queue etc) and then I can listen back to the recording and get accurate times. Another benefit is having the ability to check back and listen to whether the MOS said thank you etc.
This is brilliant, I wish my phone did that, i'd much prefer that than to try and press buttons while my phone is in my pocket!0 -
This will be something you'll miss with the iphone, as there aren't any buttons you do have to be looking at the screen to be able to know what you're pressing.
I gave up using my touchscreen phone (not an iPhone unfortunately!) for Gyp assignments for that exact reason. Looked way too obvious what I was doing. That and the fact I kept inadvertently clearing my times when I put my phone down. I've gone back to my trusty old SE for those jobs where I need a stopwatch...0 -
great ideal got a similar phone "HTC"...., like the iphone you cant press any buttons for the timing... I miss that , at the moment I have to take 2 out with me, just so i can do my timings, lol technology eh.!!0

I have done quite a few egg jobs in the last few weeks but I hate the return part. How do other people cope? What complaint do you use?

The funeral jobs are actually really easy. Much easier than the egg shops.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
I can't see the funeral shops, maybe I'm too young? Not sure that I would be that keen on doing them, feel that pretending about a death is bad karma. But haven't seen the scenario so may well be talking rubbish.
My final drinks audits and pawn shops all went well today. Interesting slight variance in what I was quoted for the same items.
LOLed at people's comments about the 2008 cake. Am hoping it is one they have baked more recently! Looked on their website and they say they draw names from their mailing list each month, so was my turn this month.
I was feeling a bit down (my daughter's father has been calling me horrible names on his facebook page) but the prize, people's jokes and successful shopping has cheered me up0 -

I have also applied for a few "detah" shops but they have not been allocated yet.
Few times a scrunched up bags of bacon fries and said 'just opened these crisps and it looks like they've been in a fight!' putting a slit in the packaging is also a favourite of mine...'o0o0o0o bit dodgy - don't like things with damaged packaging......' There was only one member of staff who looked at me like i'd just escaped from the mental hospital and I suppose thats not bad considering I did 11 shops!Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness
