I also got the TNS threatening letter. I wouldn't mind but the only time I've cancelled is when I've tried to email them and they can't be bothered to answer, and then the job expires so I've had to release .

I've just received the following from TNS:

"TNS RI aims to provide the highest standard of service to clients. Our goal is to deliver the finest quality results within agreed deadlines.

We have noticed that the number of visits you have cancelled has recently increased.

Whilst fieldworkers have the facility to cancel a visit, we would like to remind you that this is for emergency use only. We expect visits to be completed on the agreed date and within the specified timeframe. Cancellation should only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Please register this as your first warning which will be logged in your work history. The standard of your work needs to improve or you may be blocked from some projects and ultimately could be removed from the TNS RI panel."

Now, given the number of assignments I've done for them in the past and the number of spots I've got them out of, you'd think they'd lay off with the veiled threats. As it is, I'll just consider this as another reason to not work for them.

It must be a generic letter I got the same - I've sent them a reply and feel free to use it yourselves!

    Hello,

Just to confirm that most instances with cancellations have related to the late or random link allocations after job acceptance, in one instance a job was de-allocated when the link was made available on a Friday and de-allocated early on Monday morning, a weekend I was on holiday with no computer access and a long time prior to the actual assignment. I find the warning a little bit too harsh and it may have a detrimental effect on the times I assist and help TNS when you call me in the future with an urgent job where I go out of my way to be helpful.

    Well done Retail Maxim!

Got a text message from them, called them up and gave the reference number,

All my details came up on their screen and they gave me all the available jobs they had in the area, on days that I have other MS work booked for, so it all fits in nicely!

In the age of electronic filing and reporting, sometimes the old method of telephoning jobs and filing your report over the telephone works a lot better! None of that self-allocation rubbish :)
Yes, I like them too. What a shame that they hardly ever ring me though. :(
I'm lucky if I get two calls a year! I think that perhaps they might already have their preferred shopper/s in my area and use me as back up when they are not available.
How many assignments do other people usually get from them?

Hi just a couple of questions.

How do you increase your client list with ABAi I only have one client?? Also all the available jobs have dissapeared from RE. What does this mean? Do they not like me anymore??

I am new to all this so hopefully someone can help.

Have you got all the boxes ticked on your RE page?

I've only done 2 in the last 12 months...
  • now starting to feel paranoid, I've got none of the recent React jobs I've applied for! Thought I would stand a good chance as I didn't go for lots. I wonder if it because it is quiet and lots of people are going for the same jobs.....:(
