I've just received the following from TNS:

"TNS RI aims to provide the highest standard of service to clients. Our goal is to deliver the finest quality results within agreed deadlines.

We have noticed that the number of visits you have cancelled has recently increased.

Whilst fieldworkers have the facility to cancel a visit, we would like to remind you that this is for emergency use only. We expect visits to be completed on the agreed date and within the specified timeframe. Cancellation should only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Please register this as your first warning which will be logged in your work history. The standard of your work needs to improve or you may be blocked from some projects and ultimately could be removed from the TNS RI panel."

Now, given the number of assignments I've done for them in the past and the number of spots I've got them out of, you'd think they'd lay off with the veiled threats. As it is, I'll just consider this as another reason to not work for them.

    OMG....cheeky beggars

Hi just a couple of questions.

How do you increase your client list with ABAi I only have one client?? Also all the available jobs have dissapeared from RE. What does this mean? Do they not like me anymore??

I am new to all this so hopefully someone can help.

    Tigger

    Hello

There are instructions on the first page of this thread on how to add other clients on Aba-i.

Can't answer the RE query though...I've only got 8 available jobs showing. Mayber there isn't much in your area at the mo.

ETA.....are you sure you want to use your full name as your user name on here? It may make you identifiable to some of the MS shops who don't like being discussed.

I presume this is an automated email??? If I received one like this, I would probably ring the special projects guy at TNS .......

Wow totally agree with Mr Shopper about them being very cheeky! I think I've got an awful track record with TNS and have probably cancelled more than I've completed. Not done a job with them in 6 months though. Either way I haven't had that e-mail and I was half expecting to be sacked before now.

I got the same email. I cancelled 6 jobs in January, all for the same day when I was snowed in. Have since done a few jobs for them when they've phoned pleading with me to do overdue jobs because they dont have many shoppers in my area. If they want to have one less then a few more emails like this will do it.

For the first time in several tries TNS are recruiting in my area. They are asking where I heard about them. I don't want to say this thread.

I'd liketo tell them I was recommended by a TNS MSer, and they ask for a name. Any TNSers out there care to PM me? I don't know if there's a referral fee, but I'd be grateful.

    Well done Retail Maxim!

Got a text message from them, called them up and gave the reference number,

All my details came up on their screen and they gave me all the available jobs they had in the area, on days that I have other MS work booked for, so it all fits in nicely!

In the age of electronic filing and reporting, sometimes the old method of telephoning jobs and filing your report over the telephone works a lot better! None of that self-allocation rubbish :)

I've cancelled a fair bit in the last 6 months, but I've still completed more than I cancel - and I've done a fair spread of assignments in terms of clients as well as geographically. They haven't phoned me for a bit, which is a relief because lately they've been far less pleasant than my AM ever was. Guess this is what happens when Americans buy out an ms-ing company.
