I can appreciate your circumstances but you are one of the very few who think RE pay well and have good jobs:cool:

Surely after you've been Msing you still have to go home and do the washing\chores.;)

What's that got to do with the price of baked beans.. ! Surely all of us who work still have to do the washing/chores.. unless your paid so well by MS'ing you can afford staff....!

I absolutely hate washing and chores. What I need is about 5 car circuits and 20 bank visits a weeks so that I can employ someone to do it all for me. :D

For me personally the "poor fee" from RE is better than nothing at all and gives me the opportunity to go into shops that I normally wouldn't go into. I guess everyone views things differently. I also see things from a different side now as I used to work for a company that was mystery shopped and can see how it does affect customer satisfaction :)

Must be the only 1 in the 450,000

As my dad used to say blindman there's 1 born every minute. I hope anyone new to MS'ing doesn't get misled by that post. Re-imbursement funniest thing I have heard in ages. Obviously haven;t done the cheap pub's where they ahve the heek to imply 2 can go but only 1 gets food. Yet they want comments on the food eaten by the person who has had to buy their own. I don't do them now and haven;t for about 2 years.

Last one I did when they asked for comments about the 2nd meal I answered "None of your business as the re0imbursement didn;t cover it." Comment box popped up at the next question about whether 2nd meal was hot and I put "If you want comments on 2nd meal maybe you should have paid for it. They even had the nerve to ask about a 3rd meal and drink.

I did one of these to get me started.. lovely food, cost was 2 quid short for two of us, nice lunch with mum.. but wouldn't do them regularly as most of the pubs are not one's I would usually go to. I think saying there's one born every minute is incorrect, most of us have to do a basic job with RE to get started so I don't think that comment was necessary. If RE are so bad why are they listed in the start of the thread...?

Oh god that is just so funny! :rotfl:

I've just gone on their dreaded website and accepted a job from them for the first time in 12 months. This is a reimbursement only job for a store that I have never entered in my life. "Why?" you are all wondering...
Well....I am going to time exactly how long this load of rubbish takes me, starting with perusing the briefing notes and accepting the assignment and setting the date (3.45 minutes).
I'll let you know how I get on. It's Monday. Stay tuned! :D
  • Good grief this forum is really getting nasty.

TractorGirl you are one truely self righteous peice of work.

Millerose i feel for you - i too would have taken offence to what was being said. I too am in the same position as you. Stay at home to my little girl making some extra money so i can take her out and about. I enjoy the work and i see all the fees & reimbursements as a small bit in a larger picture. Im happy to do the small jobs because added together they bring in a decent amount of money. Does this mean i dont take my job seriously - does this mean i stand outside the stores and make up the jobs.

Ive been doing mystery shopping for nearly 3 years and in the beginning i found this forum invaluable - really useful information. Now its divided into 2 - those that think there above everyone else who can do nothing but give catty snide remarks and think they own this forum. And then theres the other people that are trying to make a small amount of money who ask questions, get involved etc but always seem to get shouted down.

Some of you certainly need to be taken down a peg or two.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that
We're all different-to some people it's all about the money, to others it's about getting out the house and earning a bit of pin money .

I do think there are better paying and more interesting jobs around-and in time you'll probably broaden your scope of jobs but there is absolutely nothing wrong with appreciating local jobs and not getting frustrated because there aren't many high paying jobs around. Goodness knows there's enough moaners on this thread-it's nice to hear someone happy with what they are doing :T
