I spoke to OC about it, asking if they had a goegraphic alternative number I could use (no call costs for me if I used a geographic number) - they did not. However, OC were really good and said that I only needed to record a proportion of the calls (something like 1 in 5 or 1 in 10, depending on the client). You might get a similar arrangement if you ask.pinkprincess39 wrote: »I used to do these. BT dont charge for ordinary 0845 numbers but these were classed as "indirect" 0845 as you are put through to another number after dialing. So I was charged for these which meant that if the person didnt want to do the survey it still cost me!
Thanks guys. I will ask OC, but as you said princess, you have to get them to do the survey to get paid, hence if you get a string of non interests, you have paid for the calls with no reimbersement. When I did these previously, I was on BT but didnt realise it was charging because it was indirect! So thanks for the heads up on that one!
I was looking at 18185.co.uk - drops it down to 3p/min with a 3p connection and you get an 0800 number to call, you pay 18185 via debit card monthly.0 -

Another newby question..
An icecream job has just been allocated to me by one of the companies using the Sassie system (not wanting to say their name as not sure who you can or can not mention so playing it safe). Anyhow, I had applied for this one when this wave of jobs were first released and almost immediately got told it was allocated to someone else. I can only assume they have released it which is why it has been allocated to me.
The problem is I now can not do it as I have other things on in the evenings now but I can not see how I can release it on the system. I know there is a contact them option, do you have to do it that way rather than automatically.
Thanks0 -

If its React....just ring them and ask for the allocator whose email address will be somewhere in your brief. Explain what happened and they will sort it out for you - I've always found them lovely.
Yeah its them, I will give them a call in the morning about it. Gutted as that was my first job with them and it is not going to look that good me turning it down0 -
I went to a town to do 5 jobs. One site had closed down and moved premises. I contacted the company and said I could visit the other site no problem but they said .I'd still get paid. Had no contact back, just checked site and its back on to be done by today!
Methinks I might get a phonecall to do it tomorrow! If I do I'll want more money than they are offering to drive over there - especially as I was planning on staying in and doing some housework!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Don't worry - I had to turn down a bookies job because in my eagerness I forgot I had the baby! I got -1 points on RE but I scored 10 on my first job so it's not so bad now!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Hi
Just a quick question - do I pay tax on anything I buy and get reimbursed for?
E.g. I do a job for £5 but have to spend £10 which will be reimbursed. Do I pay tax on £5 or £15?
Thanks in advanceA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Took one of the eye jobs for today because I had another job in the same area. I booked using a false name and address. Anyway, they found a major problem with one of my eyes and asked for my doctors details cos I really needed to get it sorted urgently! They wanted a second opinion from the hospital and needed to refer me... What a dilemma! I just said I wasn`t sure of the details cos I was a new patient and I would drop them in or give them a ring so the optremist could get in contact. I phoned the MS company and explained what had happened, cos the opticians will think it odd that I have not got back with my doctors details.
I have another MS one now booked locally for tomorrow, using my real details this time....so fingers crossed it all goes well and I can get sent to the hospital asp.:(0
