    I have done quite a few of the TA ones and as an ex travel agent certainly know how to pitch the enquiry but have had to plough through brush offs too. I usually say -I want to get it sorted today as it's my only free day. (Of course I then need to discuss it with my partner before finally deciding)

    I'm really not surprised more and more people book on line

    I had to release a job today - one of the italian meals on re. Totally gutted was really looking forward to it but took a funny turn at work and had to go to docs then home to bed. Just woke up. feel like carp. just hope it goes as quickly as it came.

    I have just done 8 of these with the same scenario and only one came under budget. Most were 60% over budget!!!

    I'm actually thinking of going to Turkey for my hols now.

    I went to Turkey last summer (peak season because I went with one teen daughter) on a very tight budget - best holiday ever! Beautiful country, lovely people and superb food - I'd recommend it.

    look on the bright side you havent lost any earning prob stopped yourself gaining a few pounds

    quickie question - does anyone use the spreadsheet in the OP (the fancy macro one) in OpenOffice? I cannot get it to work for the life of me, I keep getting runtime errors. Tips?

    aw I missed out on the italian ones cos I was still probationary so couldnt apply for anything else! could have done with not cooking tonight!
