    Mine were all massively different!

I knew you weren't referring to me - it was just incase someone came along and had a go. ;)

It's about time the mentally challenged realised that in theory any MS company that thinks their confidentiality is being compromised could CLOSE THIS THREAD

I doubt it would happen but for the majority of newbies on here to be denied a useful source of info by a minority of dumb*$$e$ would be a crying shame.

I suggest some people read their original contracts and take heed.

Not a boss, nor in charge, just using common sense.

I agree that there are those who breach by mentioning client names and yes, in theory, we are breaching contracts by discussing any jobs. The cryptic codes aren't exactly hard to decipher. That is a calculated risk we all take. It would be a shame if the thread were to close and we all need to just take care with what we post.

I still stand by my comment of "The heavy mob......" because some people are taking it a bit too far and shouting every few minutes about posts which haven't breached the thread rules. When I say that some people need to chill, I do not mean abandon the confidentiality rules, just be sensible. Why I should be called mentally challenged for asking people to be sensible, I really don't know.

could a company really get the thread closed?
They aren't Board Guides or work for Abuse so I dont understand how they could get it closed. Am pretty sure there are other forums that discuss similar things.

Off to update Alerts thread ;)

just a quick q...I'm new to all this so not sure how picky they all are. See some new assignments for a certain supermarket...details are very brief, just says "conduct visit on your own" - so would a baby in a sling (carrying him on my body) probably violate this? would be a pity as I could do about 10 shops in one day

    Hi

I have spoken to several of the companies regarding this, ESA is a definate no no spoke to the supervisor there and she said I would be "taken off the list" if I was found to be taking a child with me......

Others mention in their brief regarding doing the assignment on your own and it does mean on your own unfortunately as they do check up on you, I know all Gyp ones have to be done alone as discussed with them, RE depends on assignment and the others I have not had to contact them regarding it yet. If I am not sure on anything, I always speak to the company direct, they are on the whole very approachable people..........

Fab day for me on my MS, got v expensive haircut all paid for and the others were what I call good shops and bagged my favourite store for next week, first time I have seen it come up in 9 months :D

To be honest, I would be amazed if an ms company would bother to request this thread is closed just for talking about an email someone received. I suspect there are reps from certain companies that do read this forum which is why it is so important not to mention fees and clients and I also suspect that if someone did notice any users on here breaking confidentiality agreements on a regular basis they may try and find out which of their shoppers that person was and give them a warning/stop offering them any jobs but I seriously doubt they would go any further than that. It should be up to the individual what they discuss and if they want to compromise their position with that company then surely it is up to them.

Besides, the confidentiality agreement signed with Abai seems to be client specific (although the clause seems to be being added to most of the clients) and the person who got "told off" was talking about an email they received for a new client (I haven't received the email but I'd guess there is nothing in it telling people not to discuss it beyond the usual not naming fees or clients) so technically I can't see what that person has done wrong.

I try not to get involved in any petty squabbles on here but fear there is a real danger that people will be put off posting anything for fear of being "flamed" which I think is a shame. In recent days I have also seen people being flamed for asking for a pm and another for sending a polite pm regarding forum rules. Oh, and is there really a need for calling people "mentally challenged" if they take an opposing view?

    Right, that's it I think....

Exactly, please can we all be sensible???? Angel's post did not disclose who the new client was or give away any info that was top secret. Sorry if upsets all the big bosses on here who seem to think they are in charge (how many are there now....? ) but if Angel's post is going to be censured then there is no point posting anything because most posts are asking about/discussing jobs.
It is about time that the heavy mob got a life and chilled out a bit. Angel has contributed a lot to this thread and is sensitive with what she posts.

Also, given as Angel specified he was unable to register for the client he would not have reached the screen where he would have had to certify not to 'discuss the project', therefore those posters who 'went off on one' were wholly incorrect in saying that he had breached the terms and conditions.

Also my view of the abai clause agreeing not to discuss the project (personally) would be that we were agreeing not to discuss new discrete details of the client re: fees or specifics, as opposed to saying that abai have got a new supermarket client.

In fact if abai are as stringent as some posters seem to think I would say that the google link in the first post that pretty much gives a full list of abai's clients is more likely to get this thread 'closed' than saying that they have a new supermarket client.

In fact given the standards that were applied to Angel13's post I'd say that anyone who has commented on any Retaileyes or Gapbuster assignment in any way shape or form has breached the terms of their agreements and I guess its time we closed this thread down!, as it would be up to Retaileyes to specify what was commercially sensitive, and the Gapbuster clause is do broad I doubt you could ask a query on an assignment without breaching it!

    ABAI:
"I agree that I will not discuss this project with other potential shoppers either personally or on the internet:"

    Retaileyes:
"Registered shoppers must not participate in divulging or sharing commercially sensitive information to other registered shoppers or via public forums such as internet forums or consumer discussion boards."

    Gapbuster:
"To not provide or otherwise make available any material in the websites in any form to any person other than employees, subcontractors and other agents (if any) without the written consent of GAPbuster Worldwide."

    Right, that's it I think....

You've obviously not read the other 13 threads.

It's not an opposing view, it's a blatant disregard (or stupidity) of the contract that they signed up for when working with MS Co's

I'm all for helping people out with MS queries etc but '!!!!!!' read the simple rules that each MS sets and keep to them on an OPEN forum.

Martin :money:has been censured before and we'd all hate that to happen to this thread.

YES it is unlikely to happen IHMO
    but

TBHO if a shopper can't keep to simple rules in this forum\MS contract then their integrity in performing MS jobs surely is in doubt?
  • so at risk of being flamed has anyone managed to add the new aba client?
