Hi,
I dont want to sound paranoid but today I got my begging phone call from GYP to do some burger jobs, none of which are local and this time the guy did not offer any extras like petrol or corner shops, so I asked if they would cover the petrol, his answer 'Sorry that is not allowed due to financial issues' !, now what financial issues could that be ?.

I know I am wrong but last 2 months late pay, losing clients to other MS companies is making me wonder !.

Thanks they've all gone again so just hoping theres some more soon... I'm going on the theory that there must be rotation on them or staff would remember the MSer so if I keep applying and applying eventually I might get one :cool:

And if you want some car ones you can have mine! They're fairly painless to be honest if you're comfortable with bartering with the sales people...

It gets awkward when the garage decide to hound you on the phone for six weeks afterwards so you go with them and not the other local one you mentioned though :eek:

Still trying to work out how I could do a supermarket and a quick supermarket today and still have nothing for tea... Could do with a pizza delivery one now :rotfl:

We could start up a 'no jobs from react and Bare' support group. I'd also add aba-i and GR to that list too

It is very quiet on the job front. Even Esa have gone quiet. I can get jobs in Ireland........pity I live in England :rotfl:

I had this with my last begging phone call. Apparently the allocators have been told off for paying too much additional expenses for urgent jobs and its "affecting their bottom line" :eek:

Its not like they pay much anyway, I'm sure they should be able to pay a few quid extra as no doubt they will charge the client enough... It probably cost them more than the extra fee for the phone call

Think they should target getting a chain of gym's they could give us gym visits to offset the greasy burger ones :rotfl:

The car one's do look tempting but who puts the package together? They obviously do not use an A-Z! They are all over the place and tbh, the traffic would put me off.

I've had some nice ones in the past where they're all within half a mile of each other but the latest ones seem to have been done without the aid of google maps... Either that or they're trying to make sure we don't get sussed out by the garages by picking one from each town... Hmmm....

I got a call yesterday - accepted the job for extra pay + 3 petrol + 4 corner shops + coffee sign-up.

I must admit, there doesn't seem to be lot on there now that the clients have dwindled. But they are huge outside the UK, so I wonder what the bigger picture is?

I've had jobs from Abai but only after I learned to look at all jobs. Even the local catalogue and petrol within 7 miles didnt show up when I used my home postcode.

Lucky you! I was promised (after a lot of argueing) one corner shop thirty miles away for doing two burgers... It hasn't appeared though hmmmm.

Should have stuck to my guns and said no but he sounded really desperate, I mean who wants a burger twice in one day?
