You don't get feedback so it is a case of no news is good news. They will send you an email querying things though. Like timings for burger places. You get a clue when you submit the report...sometimes the results received email says you results have been put in a pending database.Ofter though you hear nothing.
I like companies like Tern who score every report you do. I did one on Fri got a score of 9. It said A very well written report. Once I got one which said well written etc and it was a pleasure to read you report.
Thanks Hollypear. Have to say all of my Gyp reports were put through to the dreaded pending database. Hey ho, i'll stay positive until i hear otherwise. Well done on getting positive feedback :T, it makes all the difference!

I found 10 a week on top of full time work toooo many so cut back to 5... well tried to... there seem's to be lots of work around, at least in my area, I have to ration myself..!!! Even picked up a ... gasp... RE job, but the fee was twice what you get from gyp, I'll just start practising my 'repeat' comments...!Christmas 2020 £109

Wow some of you get loads of jobs! I can now why it can be so worthwhile.
Just out of interest how often do people check the sites for new assignments?A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Just did 2 shops today, a supermarket for GR (thought it would take ages as 11 staff to interact with but actually was no trouble) and a car showroom for Bare. My total for the month is already over £300, pleased with this.
Off topic: has anyone got a cafe on Facebook? Me and my OH are suddenly addicted to this but need more friends!0 -

Well the alerts thread is a popular method of prompting you to check the sites, personally I check as often as I can during the day. I do have a blackberry and a netbook so that makes it easier when out and about... and of course there's the constant refreshing on RE of an evening.. even though we don't want the jobs coz the pay's poor... although they do have some good restaurant/hotel assignments.. and I'm always up for a free'ish meal...
sorry cte1111 not a cafe/restaurant owner..! although my DD has both.. would get in the way of reading this thread and checking for jobs...!Christmas 2020 £109

Hi everyone.I am being a show off. Posting here with my spanking new netbook. It is a Samsung N130. Got it in Argos for £229.
Hoping it will make finding jobs when I am out easier. Tomorrow doing a cat shop. So while waiting for the 45mins till I can return it I can find a wifi spot and do the 1st bit of the report.
You have made a good decision with the Samsung netbook- it has a nice keyboard like the laptop. However, you should know free wifi is a hacker's paradise. Most wifi uses a cheap and nasty encryption system called WEP which a hacker can break into in a couple of minutes. There is a better system called WAP but you won't find your local burger joint using it. It is possible to buy software to protect yourself if it bothers you.0 -

As you will have learned, DONT print off the questionnaire and go by that.
What I usually do is:
Take an A4 pad!!
Open the job , and once you've entered your password, a list will come up headed "Visit details" and there you will find a list of "Counters at this store". These are the counters you will be assessing. Write them on your sheet of paper, leaving 4 or 5 lines between each for your notes.
Click on "Next" and then click on "Briefing notes". This is your main instructions. Under "Scenario" you will find another list of departments - add these to your list (some will be duplicates so obviously don't write them again.
Further down this page it tells you what specific questions to ask, and what to look for in each department. So write this under the relevant headings.
NB - The only sections where you need a name and description are the ones where you have to ask a question, not the ones where you just have to see if something is stocked. Also need name & description of the cashier and customer service person (and "catalogue" desk if they have one).
If your store has a Cafe and petrol station, you have to make a small purchase in each, just to get a receipt.
That's about it ... they DO get easier with practice so don't be frightened to accept them. When I'm lucky enough to get one of these jobs, I just do it with my weekly shop.

Thanks for the tips I really do appreciate them, I think I made it much more difficult than it needed to be:o First job for TNS, I seem to be at first or second job for most at moment and so hopefully will get more jobs allocated as time passes:)0 -
