TBH, if you look at any other part of the whole MSE forum, there is always disagreements, arguments, keyboard warriors, drama queens, pedants, wind up merchants, SPAM etc etc... ..

    Usually sorts itself out.

Good on you. Gosh they don't often phone people begging them to do jobs. What did they say...did they say "Sorry we cannot increase the fee"

You should have said the bit about cutting the heating down!!!

What do they tell said client "E'hm the job wasn't done cos no one was desperaite enough to earn a pittance."

If only MS'rs didn't keep accepting the rubbish RE throw at them we would all be better off. The Woolworth's of the Mystery Shopping world. that lot are.

I think she was a bit surprised at my laughter - there was a silence and then "oh......ok". I'm probably blacklisted now, or maybe had my card marked as 'nutter' :p

I haven't done any of their jobs for a while so it's no great loss. The cold winter put a stop to it - I realised that having to leave my cosy office at lunchtime for the sake of a free butty and a couple of £ really wasn't worth it to me.

Thanks. If I had friends or family there then I would! I could do with a takeaway (even though I only had tea an hour ago!).

Like I said they disappeared then reappeared.

Looking forward to doing my first one! :)

With RE a good thing to remember is that you'll be probationary until you've done your first job. So if you have a pick of them make sure you get the one that's best for you as it'll take a little while for the job to come around, complete it, submit the report and the key thing is getting the report proofread. It has been known to take up to 2 weeks, but normally a few days.

Exactly! While the jobs get accepted and completed, there is no reason for fees to increase. It's obvious why RE rarely have two week fieldwork intervals - more like two days. It's so that the jobs can get picked up and dropped innumerable times before the true deadline! Reputable MS companies do not need to give two day deadlines: they pay enough for the jobs to get done first time!

You must have found some jobs that pay well to drive for nearly 2 hours. Can't think of any I've dseen recently that would make that sort of distance worthwhile!

i have managed to get two in a town about an hour away (so about 2 hours there and back) and react will pay mileage for most of that :T the other three are in a town i pass through on the way so worked out quite well! all the jobs apart from the react one are about re fee x 2 so a good day :D

Up to you if you want to be in a thread with one person.

Can I give you some advice. Go back to the kitchen, pick up your little bowl of Coco Pops, remember not to spill the milk. Then when your a grown up you can come back and say Hi.

I bet in your mind you actually think your remarks are somehow relevant, helpful or someway intelligent.

Get it into your head, they are NOT!
