Well I didn't get any of the clothes or homeware shops I applied for. I do have another 3 egg shops to do on my way up to Edinburgh on Friday.

Have done quite well out of the egg shops but it would have been nice to have got something different.
I was really nice to ESA and went out of my way to do an urgent assignment for them last week in the hope it would go in my favour for the jobs I applied for this week. Nope. Didn't make a slight bit of difference - didn't get any of the jobs, so I wont be doing any more urgent jobs as favours for them unless they double the fee.

Warning to all other MSers - don't think that doing them a favour is going to get you in their good books! It wont.

Retail Eyes - got a bookies and 2 sandwhiches

    GFK - done a couple
Grass roots. i see one job a month if i'm lucky
ESA - about 50% sucess rate. got all my apps deleted today though

    I have applied for:

    Amber Arch
    Checkout
    Douglas Stafford
    Frontline Focus
    Helion Research
    Impact Mystery Shopping
    Stratagem Market Checker

    waiting the outcome

    Any i have missed????

as you can tell, i really want to make some pennies lol
Watch out for Douglas Stafford: they will promise you loads of work (phone calls) and then you only end up with about 5 a month which pay an absolute pittance and take forever. Barely covers your call costs.

I now have over 100 eggs in my house!

Do you work up in Edinburger? (Just out of curiousity!)

I used to do in my previous job existence. Took voluntary redundancy in 2008. Too young for my pension , too much redundancy to keep claiming benefits. I wanted a part time job locally and I think this is better. I have some choice in what, where and when I work.

I do a LOT of work for Assosia, but can't talk about it. Email them and tell them what you've said in your last couple of posts (i.e. that you're keen to do more work for them etc etc) you'd be surprised how much work they actually do as 99% of it is not talked about on here.

    Edit:

MCE - they seem to only have work for females so I've never had or seen anything from them.

quality eye - never heard of them
retail active - accepted my very first job with them a few weeks ago not to be done for a long time yet though.

and regarding the BARE cars, unless your really really young, consider emailing the contact on the jobs and say that you're keen to do it, but are a few months (or whatever) below the minimum age, so could they bare(!) you in mind as either a "reserve" in case they can't allocate/get a cancelled circuit, or indeed for future projects.

I got a circuit only a week or two ago by emailing on the off-chance as I'd not seen anything anywhere near me for a while - I've been allocated a circuit that had never even appeared on the site as far as I'm aware.

I've just realised I'm doing 6 travel shops in the next week TWICE......ie two different scenarios for two different companies.

    Is this ethical?

In my defence, I booked some of them weeks ago and some just recently, knowing they were the same towns but not that they were the same shops.

I don't want to look bad and cancel some of them, but on the other hand, how do I look convincing on two totally different scenarios?

    And advice guys?

    Are the scenarios drastically different?

Could you maybe get away with going in at start of week looking for (say..) a familar holiday to Florida, and then go in at the end of the week looking for a cruise for a couple...you could pretend that this is what you do every year...take "the kids" away onece and have a holiday on your own once "to get over it" haha!

Other than that, no suggestions from me I'm afraid. It's a shame that it's not the same scenarios... ;)

Could you say you need to phone your partner for their opinion then go back and say they weren't keen, how about.......? Or are the scenarios too different for that?
