I have also been let down by egg concerning the 10% discount. I placed a couple of orders on the 31st and only got 5%. Sent a couple of emails and got this response - different to what the others on this thread have received.
"Thanks for your message. As stated in the Dixons Terms and Conditions the first two e-mails that you're sent aren't confirmation of the order being processed and the payment being taken. The first e-mail is receipt of the order, the second e-mail is stock availability and the third is payment confirmation. You can view this information by copying the below link info your web address bar, then selecting Terms and conditions. https://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/editorial/Customer_Services Due to the above your order was debited on 2nd August 2006, which in line with our cash back offer the 5% you've received has been correctly applied. If you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. Regards"
I am writing back stating that the T&C's of the offer were not Dixons T&C's concerning orders but the egg offer specifically related to orders placed in July. I'll let you know how I get on. If they refuse I will be contacting Which? - If anyone has a screen print of the Dixons offer I would be grateful for a copy as this will help if I go to Which? or trading standards.Regards

Any further update regarding the remaining 5% discount (i.e. in total 10%) from Egg? I face the same problem as I placed my order on 30 July 2006 and the payment only going through on 1 August. Thanks.0

I also bought something on the 31 July which wasn't debited until the 1st August and only got 5% cashback. When I complained I got a similar message to everyone else. I would be interested to know if anyone has had any success in getting the 10%.
It was actually very misleading to still be advertising the 10% offer when it was not physically possible to use it!0 -
well... i'm still waiting on that phonecall. i've phoned Egg twice since then but they didn't really help. I think i may post the email to them again.0

GREAT news..... i rang them up yesterday to chase it up & spoke to someone else, explained the situation. They put me on hold for a couple of mins & then asked me to fax them the email i had.
I did this & then about an hour later they called me to confirm they were adding the extra 5% on to my account. I've now just seen this online. HURRAH!
Anyone who wishes to chase their own, drop me a message & I'll tell you the contact name i had who put this in place for me in the first instance.

Update at last.
Finally after three months of emailing I have been told today my cashback will be in my account in the next 2-3 days. I did have to threaten to close my account before I got a satisfactory response but I'm hoping it's all done with now.0 -
Does anyone know if im still entitled to cashback if i use my egg card for say a £400 deposit on an £800 tv?
I guess at best i would just get 5% cashback on the £400 and not the total amount??TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

Egg instant cashback offers only apply to online orders where you follow the link to the vendor from the egg offers page. So it works just like quidco etc.
If you pay in-store, or go directly to the vendor's website, you'll only get the egg (money) 1% cashback.0
