Here's sopmething interesting. I forgot to go through the Egg link in the end to get my cashback through Dixons - but got it anyway. So I wonder if you can go through the Quidco link and stil get the egg cashback too. I bet you can as before I managed to get cashback through Apple Education store, even though it wasn't through the proper apple store link.0

Yes your Henry is £79.98 (web exclusive price) with FREE P&P at Currys
(instore is £93.95)
but it is £79.98 + £7.99 delivery at DIXONS !!!!
Yes the EGG offer is for Dixons so I'm sorry if I was not clear in my previous post but I was pointing out that for items under £80.00 it may well be better to have a look at the other Dixon group stores to check whether you can get your item without P&P . Dixons Currys & PC World are all one company so a lot of the items on the Dixons site are also on the Currys site as well without P&P!!! Most of the items on the Dixons Site have £7.99 P&P so for items under £80 you would save more by getting free P&P rather than using the EGG offer.0 -
Hi,
I'm trying to use two codes but it only accepts one, is there a trick i'm missing?
I'm trying to use
perkz50dix (£50 off £500 spend)
NHS192 (5% discount)
p.s. egg now offer 5% discount at dixons0 -
Guys, i need help please.
On 31st July I ordered through the Egg website at Dixons a DVD recorder (and warranty) for a total £181 (this has codes taken off the true value).
It's appeared on my Egg statement this morning, though teh transaction date is 1st August. The value is £181 -£9.05 cashback. This is only 5%.
I just rang Egg on 08451233233 & the customer service person there was very very insistant that the offer for Dixons was 5% in july & is 5% now. I stuck to my guns but he wouldn't shift. I said i'd do more research & call back later.
So, i need help. Does anybody have a screenshot of the 10% offer, or at the very least some advice for me? Maybe you ordered & you did get 10% off at Dixons? I feel lilke i'm being screwed over. Help please.
Thanks0 -
i rang Egg back about an hour ago & spoke to someone else. I can confirm the 1st person i spoke to was completely incompetant & got it all wrong cos the 10% offer DID exist.
Anyway, Egg it's happened because the order was actually processed for payment on the 1st August, even though i placed it on the 31st (about 9pm). So they suggested i call Dixons to try & resolve it.
I did that & Dixons were useless. They seemed to get confused when i talked about 10% egg cashback cos i'd used a £20 off £200 voucher which in itself is 10%..... they kept on saying you've had all these discounts, we've done it all correct. Then i explain how Egg is a different promotion... yadda yadda yadda, they suggested i speak to Egg again.
So, i just called Egg again & they're going to pursue it with Dixons on my behalf. I told them what i did with vouchers & explained how i'm perfectly entitled to do so. I should get a call back tomorrow (maybe this afternoon).

I've seen people report this kind of thing before with the time-limited Egg deals, it's always best to order well in advance of the end date, as the store may not process the transaction fully in time. You'll probably have to deal with someone higher up to get this resolved.
I don't have the threads in my favourites list but you may be able to find them with a search. I recall a similar 10% Currys offer a year or two back.0 -
Thanks,
i actually only found out on the 31st about it when i was searching for this DVD player my parents wanted to buy..... we'll see how ti goes0 -
I have the same problem, ordered a TV on 31st July when it was advertising 10%, noticed today that the transaction did not go through until 1st August, so only got 5% cashback, have sent egg a secure email, am waiting for a reply.
Does anyone know how we all stand legally on this matter. There's nothing in the small print to say that the order had to be made by a certain time on 31st July to qualify for the 10% cashback.Discogod wrote:i rang Egg back about an hour ago & spoke to someone else. hi there guys, I was looking to buy the Sony DSC-T9 camera (Product Code: 585205) it's advertised for £209.79 and I can get that down to ~190odd with either that 20 off £200 offer or my staff discount code! Just wondering if anyone knows any kind of way to put it through cheaper? I've got an egg card so i'll get the 5% cashback on that too just there's loads of vouchers for £25 off all major domestic appliances and I can't find one for digital cameras! I'll be so thankful to anyone who can get it down cheaper, thanks!!!0
