I have the same problem have spoken to both Egg and Dixons and received same secure message about 5%, I have now copied text of my order from Dixons and wait to see if that helps. I have also mentioned trading standards and false advertising.

The free delivery one has expired too!!!! The only one i seem to be able to get to work is the £50 off orders over £200 ...
Anyone got any new ones ? I want to buy the 42 inch Panasonic Veira - I had all the codes working on friday (but didnt order coz waiting for egg card) - I ordered my egg card on the 26th of August when the 10% off dixons code was advertised - i have yet to recieve my card and on top of the 10% discount going to 5% (without warning) the delay in the card had lost me the other 5% discount (The NHS code and the YAW codes haved expired!!!) what rotton luck! On top of it the tv has gone down about £15 for this week only - so i guess i'll wait now till another offer emerges! dohhhh!0 -
Same here!
I had quite a good price on friday using the YAW and free del codes for a Philips 42PF9631D Plasma tv, but was waiting for them to get back to me with a price match.
Now they have all expired! dam it!
Maybe more codes on the way??0 -
Just recieved this reply back from Egg concerning me only getting 5% cash back on an order placed on 31st July 2006:
As Dixons didn't process your transaction until 1st August 2006, this is why you didn't receive the 10% cash back to your account. You received the 5% that is being offered in August 2006.
Due to this we're unable to credit an additional 5% to your account unfortunately.
Thanks for your message and if you need to know anything else please just ask, I'm here to help.
Regards
I am going to register a formal complant as there was nothing in the blurb to say the CC transaction had to be processed by 31st July, the link stated 10% instant cashback on all orders at dixons during July 2006.
Will let you know how I get on.cwaite wrote:I have the same problem, ordered a TV on 31st July when it was advertising 10%, noticed today that the transaction did not go through until 1st August, so only got 5% cashback, have sent egg a secure email, am waiting for a reply.
Does anyone know how we all stand legally on this matter. There's nothing in the small print to say that the order had to be made by a certain time on 31st July to qualify for the 10% cashback.0 -
YAW288 is the new 5%0

Now does anyone know any code for free delivery??0

I'm in the same boat - fridge and tv ordered on 29th and 30th July - due to Dixons order system breaking down the firdge went through on the 1st and the Tv hasn't been processed yet. I've had two similar replies from egg, and currently waiting for an answer as to what clause in their t&c's they are using to get out of paying.
The thing that really bugs me is that this isn't one of those 'send your receipt in within a certain date' cashback offers. You order the goods, Egg quite happily credit your account - when I can prove when the order was placed, that I complied with their t&c's and that the failure was no fault of my own, I really can't see what their problem is.
The long and short of it is that I will complain to Trading Standards and the FSA and I will bring it to the attention of Martin so other MSE users are aware. Then as a Virgin Wines customer (mucho orders through egg) I will pay off my balance and close the account. Vote with your feet...0 -

Here is a copy of my recent reply from them
I'm sorry you feel this way with regard to this situation.
Our terms and conditions state that 'Egg reserves the right to withdraw, amend and add to the special cash back offers at any time without notice'.
As the terms of the Dixons cash back offer were amended for the month of August and your transaction was authorised in this month we've adhered to our side of the offer by issuing 5% instant cash back.
We aim to resolve this matter to your satisfaction, if you'd like to proceed with a formal complaint with regard to this you can view our procedure at the following link:
