The fact it asked you to click on a link makes it sound really very dodgy indeed, the link could have been anything.

There is no link. Op says so in the first message.

OP - from everything you said it sounds very fishy to me too. Ignore and block them.

I've read about something similar, i'm not sure if it was another thread on here sometime last year?!?

It was just some strange bloke, with similar !!!!!! star looking friends, and nothing better to do. I'll have a little search see if I can find the thread.

  • Hmmm, odd.
I had a friend suggestion earlier of a pal of my husband, He is new to facebook.
I had a quick glance at the friends he had so far to see who I could suggest and there was only 3 friends on there, 2 people I know and 1 lady with an exotic sounding name.
Being nosey I clicked on her (sorry but she did look like an adult entertainer from her picture, not a problem with that however) and she came up with one other friend, a bloke.
This sounds so complicated and nosey I know, but I clicked on him and his friend list was HUGE, and they were all female and most were displayed in their profile pics in their underwear, or less!! Sounds like some people are just out to collect people, but i'm not saying the Op is a !!!!!! actress of course!
I'll shut up now, can someone throw me a rope to get out of the hole I have dug?

Op what ever you do dont reply to it as it will then give the sender access to your profile for 1 month even if they arent on your friends list :-)

This is true, i've had people message me in the past and as I haven't wanted them to have access to my profile, I haven't replied.
 Think happy & you'll be happy
