Ryanair rip off

serves them right for trying to save the cost of a piece of paper - even I'm not that tight!0

Good service would have allowed the trimmed Boarding Pass to be photocopied onto A4 and a small charge but €80 when a valid Boarding Card was presented is a RIP OFF just as charging €35 when there is no room in overhead luggage lockers and the correct size bag has to go in the hold. My origional post was to make travellers aware, as most tick the box without reading T&C0

I always carry a second copy of my boarding pass with me (stashed safely in a known place on my person) just in case.0

I had trimmed the blank area off to leave just a printed area which was still very readable electronically and visualy without +2 reading glasses. It was accepted by security and Ryanair at the returning airport Stansted where the bar code was read, and there were no queries as to the blank areas being taken off. At Alicante the handling agent said it was another way of Ryanair making money.
It is absolutely absurd that you were charged 40 Euros for this, and just goes to show what a game these cheap flights are. Be on your guard for them making money out of every opportunity and catching you out in every word of the small print that they can.0 -

It was not a valid boarding pass.
If you were issued a traditional boarding pass at the airport, would you take your scissors to that? I am quite bewildered why somebody would think to do this!
Do you have evidence of Ryanair charging passengers for correctly sized bags?Gone ... or have I?0 -

When are people ever going to understand that this is how RyanAir works. It has been pointed out on enough forums.
Handling staff who DO NOT charge for this sort of thing are failing to meet their obligations to their customer (their customer being RyanAir).
I always receive emails from RyanAir a few days before I travel reminding me of the main charges and referring me back to their Ts & Cs. They do not try to conceal their rules or apply them by stealth.
It is not rocket science to avoid these charges.0 -
