Ed the duck is back in 2nd
Something strange going on - I've seen mine twice at the top - it hasn't even finished yet! Maybe its a prediction on the time as the second time it was one hour longer than the first time I saw it!0 -
Duck with average speed of 122 at the top now:eek:
Only cared for 212 times which is oddly the same as duck in 2nd place...how did they keep such a high average speed???? My ducks speed drops from 120 odd down to the 80's in a few hours!!0 -
they must have had no sleep
:j It doesn't get any better than this :j0 -
Must have had it on screen 24 hours a day I reckon as soon as go to 119 must have put it back upto 125ish...Im committed to my little duck but blimey not that committed!!0

Bit of simple maths, over 5 days the top scorer couldn't have gone below 118 at any time, and since the highest speed is 126 and goes down in blocks of %2 over 30 mins this means it must have been cared for at least every 2 hours, 24*5 / 2 = 60 so he must be pretty stuck in there to keep it above 118, I go to sleep for a couple of hours, wake up and it's down to 80, might start again but set my alarm for the middle of the night!0

I've found that the trick is to over top it up if you see what I mean. My duck goes to 126 but if I over top it up and get 122 I don't have to top it up so often but speed goes up before it goes down.0 -
Think I am going to finish in about 5h 8 or 10 which I thought was going to be good until I saw current leader! I have had to go to work for 5 hours each day though - might do it again and book a sicky lol0

Yeah that's what I do, over do them by a bit, if you work it out right, you'll start on 122, then when you come back, you'll still be on 122 and have gone right up to 126
when I've woken up a little more I'll work out some more how best to do it and see what I come up with! 0 -

The important figure is the average speed since last top-up, specifically its value when you next top up (or the race ends).
The fastest duck will have the meters set to give the highest ave speed 30 secs later and be topped-up every 30 seconds.
If you can't top-up every 30 seconds, there may be a different setting that gives a high ave speed when you do top up, but it can't be higher than the average speed over 30 secs (unless there is some quirk in the model used to determine speeds).
good luck!0 -
Well mines always on 126 throughout the day just struggling through the night as I really can't be bothered getting out of bed to do it, suppose it's worth it though for 6k0
