I must , must get round to doing that as I really don't want the panic I have had in the last couple of years.
Also DH is 50 In November so I would like to save up to get him something nice.:)0 -

I have done the first exercise and listened to the CD , just need to listen to the CD again later. Its relaxing if nothing else.
I didn't stay until 7.30 .... I left at 6.15so only managed 5 hrs:(. I was having a day of doing "bitty " things , you know all those things you put off but eventually need to be done. Well they all now need to be done:( . I finished something at 6.15 and thought I could not face starting something else...so I didn't;)
I have listened to Paul Mckenna this morning but have not yet done the "exercise".. will do that in a bit. I don't feel any different but considering we don't have any money in the bank until tomorrow and I am feeling ok about it ... ??
Also just had the recorded message from BT telling me my bill is outstanding. I know that !!:rotfl: Will have to try and sort that out in the next couple of days;)
Have a good day everyone:)0 -

At the moment I have no idea how to manage it. I can't keep dipping in to the tax money otherwise I will have an even BIGGER problem in a few months. £785 on food & groceries IS MASSIVE. I really don't know what happened . DH does regularly withdraw £10 for things ( sweets for the boys etc). DH will have to see if he can get some O/T over the next few weeks . This really can't continue, can it ??

In relation to the food bill prior to OH's glimmer light I shared your pain of a huge bill but we are now down to between £65 - £70 a week from about £800 a month. We simply take the money out and shop once a week, menu plan and we go to Aldi's. I haven't noticed anything different in our eating habits, it is now very rare that we have to go out for extra bits during the week and I am far far less likely to find something extra to spend money on in Aldi than Mr T's.
I am amazed our food bill has come down so much but it has worked. Might be worth a try?1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
2nd debt - MBNA - £6,618.52
First in many many to go - baby steps and all that!
First lump sum to go - fingers crossed!
08/06/09 - [STRIKE]£11,497.68[/STRIKE] NOW - £9,757.75

hi 40sm, wow, £785:eek: that is massive. however, I for one know how easily this can happen. When I first had my LBM, we were consistently getting thru over £600 a month, and I had no idea where it was going!! I think we were just wasteful, and I wasnt keeping a close enough eye on things. Do the 2 of you keep a spending diary? I have to say, I do now and wow, it has made a huge difference to me, OH not so much:mad: but he does have the odd moment!!
good luck and keep us posted.
JC xLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0
