Yes he was 18 in june and when applied back then they told me that because his child benefit is still being paid and his tax credit he can't claim jsa now the cb has stopped and still trying to get hold of tc to see what they say but untill i have spoken to them we can't claim. :eek:

Morning All
Have finally managed to get DS onto JSA which will take a few weeks to sort out but at least where they now in the system:think:.
Rough news on the finance front for DH and myself, have now lost over £100 per week due to TC error not updating records :eek: and now able to recieve tc for DD due to overpayment, been intouch with benefits to see if there's any extra help and guess what NOPE, cause DS is still living at home
it's getting tougher out there.
DS can't be asked to get off his backside to help all he seems to do is eat us out of house and home, classic this morning went to make hubby sandwiches for work this morning and fridge empty last piece of cheese got eaten last night and everyelse miraclously keeps disappearing, I would blame the dog but he can't reach:rotfl:.
We've checked our account this week and can't seen to lose anything else at the moment to make life a bit easier so going to back to basic (rationing) seems a good idea at the moment, going to sit and do budget sheet later, weekly menu's back in place also well at least they work be if the freezer had food in it!! never mind shopping coming tomorrow.

Morning All
DS interview was yesterday and seems to have gone well apparently he was the only one who applied for this position and was told that if he was sucessfull he would start next week:j( well hopefully) it would be good for him and as it's only 12hrs a week he can still claim jsa which I'm hoping will boost his confidence.
on another note I'm going to sit and do Budget brain workout today to help sort household finances out. (luck needed)
