 Ok Ok I give in!! It was worth a try. Keep a little diary for Mike to read afterwards. Not forgetting those photos on your mobile.

I'm not Jurassic Spark, the phone is recording the real life out-takes (that would never be seen) at DVD quality for the man :)

Yay!:j I reached the end of the thread! It's only taken me two solid days to do it...
I have too much time on my hands, recuperating as I am from a small visit to the local hosp recently. Finding this thread has been a joy. I thought poor Miggy was going to have to remortgage, the amount of computer damage she was blamed for as people spat their various drinks at their screens...!

Mike, I am so looking forward to seeing the end result when they show the episode of DIY SOS. I too watched the YouTube clip & was frustrated by the almost total lack of sound, but your house looks so lovely - from the outside...ahem...
    Anyhoo...
So I just wanted to wish you much joy with the upcoming week & the party with all your new friends. In the spirit of that friendship, I just wanted to say I have flirted with depression myself in the past - please make sure there's someone there to give you a quick hug or two when it's all died down & you're sitting in your beautiful house deciding that you don't deserve it (you know you will..!) Remember that this is what it should have looked like all along, & what it WOULD have looked like if some expletive deleted had not come by & stolen all your money!
Best wishes to you sir & well done for keeping on when you felt like giving up. Sometimes baby steps might be all you can do, but its all you need to keep moving forward.
    S x:)

Awww! Sorry you're not well! I hope it's not serious. Get well soon!

Sorry you've had some low times too, but don't you find these days most people one talks to have had depression or someone close to them has it? It's bigger than we think.

    You're very perceptive and generous.

    x

The sound on youtube seems ok to me here. Are you using this link?

Long time lurker on this thread. Hope your 'new' house is everything you want it to be Mike. You deserve it. On a side note, I live in same town as you and a member of the DIY team was in a well known supermarket I work in buying supplies tonight. Was a bit shocked but then remembered your thread and realised they were finally here.

Evening all again. Nice to see the builders are taking care of themselves there. I bet they've finished the build already and are just going to live rent free there for the next week - it's their MSE way of living rent free and getting a free holiday to boot! Thursday will be the frantic clear away the evidence of all the partying they'll be doing! lol

Welcome to all the lurkers and new visitors to the thread.

Well I'm getting excited but also realise I have so much to do this weekend.

I need to de-clutter and vaccuum my car which is going to be a mammoth task! Still, should get another 20 miles to the gallon at least as the car will be so much lighter. I've got half my drive in the footwells, a plethora of flourescent jackets, vests and trousers of all styles, a range of steel toecap boots and wellies that a steel toecap boot and welly stall would be jealous of, petrol receipts up to my knees, sweet wrappers, oil, plastic bottles for water, writing pads and a picture from my neice. I dread to think what's in the glove box! Oh and a padlock.

    That's my weekend sorted then!

So what's everyone else up to?
