You could test it out, but most people swallow them...

Sorry Mike!
Janet, eating fresh strawberries and cherries are supposed to ease gout pain as they neutralise/reduce uric acid levels.
If the pain is in the big toe, a footsoak in Epsom salts is supposed to help or you could try an ice pack <---- blame google if none of these work
*hugs* hope the pain eases soon hun.0 -

Hi Mike
Haven;t fogotten you - got my own rectification works going on atm and so know how you feel
My problem is I am on site all the time and constantly being exposed to "yet another howler" uncovered by new (lovely, excellent, love'em to death) builders. It's all got a bit serious with forking out for expert witness surveyors reports and I am now realising the true extent to which I "have been shafted"....and each new discovery catapults me back to those "bad times" ..However I have the evidence and am now considering my next actions - unfortunately it may have to end up as a full blown court case
Cowboy builders and Rogue Traders have referred me to Watchdog - as I am "too far along" for their type of programmes but they feel my story needs to be told in view of it;s significance.
I am SO SO Pleased you are getting all this lovely DFW support ..(as I have been)......and also that DIY SOS are going to give you a proper home at last. :T:T
I completely understand what it means to folks like you and me to have their main security ripped out from under them and how paralysing it can be on the mental front..I am having a bad time of it atm with dissociation experiences (see my diary) .:o.....and also how you just don;t dare to hope after all this time...;)
Keep the faith Hun :grouphug:....despite everything you;ve gone through and even with the end in sight - this last step can actually be far more exacting mentally than what has gone before:grouphug: .....but with all your lovely DFW gang on here you Will get through this
All power to you and to your fantabidosi DFW supporters  - well done all of you :T:T:T:T
Hope the unveiling gives you everything you want....can;t be there in person but walking with you in spirit :kisses3:

Thanks Mythi, I have had minor attacks and the doc doesnt want to start the medication yet, but this is a real Lulu and if I could have got a shoe on then I could have got myself to the doc. I have strawberries in house and I adore cherries but they would give me the same problem as Mike has at the moment. Its like Milk and me in one end and at the speed of light out the other.
I have taken lots of co-codamol which helps a little. Last night I went to bed at 10.30 because the pills had knocked me out.
Got to go out tomorrow and I will try the Epsom salts. Got to be in Littlehampton on Thursday to talk to..........about........ and all that goodstuff.
Thanks for the hug - well received.

Evening all.
MW sorry to hear of your gout pain, got no remedies here I'm afraid.
Upset tum though, well, I don't believe in that Immodium stuff even if it does work immediately. My logic being that your tum is upset for a reason and if that reason is that something is in there that shouldn't be (bad bacteria, virus, bugs, whatever) then it'sobviously better out than in. A portion of chips from the chippy and a big poo does it for me. Chips from the chippy always make me go. Failing that, try a bowl of branflakes - not as yummy as chips from the chippy though.
Regarding that purple colour, I'm sorry but I have to disagree with both, it really is the pinkest purple I've ever seen and I can't see how you see it as mauve or purple - it's pink!
MW when you are freaking out the neighbours please don't forget Mike has to move back in there, unless you've thrown away the key to the locked door! lol
Happy, hope your back gets better soon.
