    Hi Mike,

I'm another who's been lurking since you first posted. I'm so happy for you how you've managed to turn things around, and I'd like to wish you all the best for the next couple of weeks. I'd so love to come down for the big reveal but it is my niece's birthday so am away that weekend.

Hope you all have a fantastic time, and I can't wait to see the finished product!

Jwil (going back to lurking again :D)

Lurkers are good too. We like lurkers!

Thanks for the nice thoughts too.

Putting lots of spaces between Moat and ? is the only way to override the 'too short' message.

That's going to sound great in court - you arranged to be picked up by someone you met on the internet called Psychopath?

Can't see anyone falling for that one, PB...

Exactly the reason I've said not to call me Psycho when I go to a meet in Glasgow!!

    I'm nice I promise :)

Oh Sarsie, you promised no bombs and whatever, but you didn't tell me you could beat me to a pulp... now I'm scared.

I thought about bringing biscuits, but are we going to be overrun?

Mike, I'm a tad scared about cameras now..... you must be completely bewildered as to everything that is going on.

    EXCITED!!

Corr blimey one pack of Hobnobs is all I ask, just one, just one little trip to the Spar I do not have to make, ONCE!!!

Honestly how clear do I have to make this...

    HOBNOBS!!!

And may I also point out that any rumours currently spreading around such internet tattle-mongery sites as may plumet to such depths, purporting to insinute my meteoric rise to fame could in any way have gone to my head are scurrilous unfounded lies! Believe not a word of it. Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got, I'm still, I'm still, Sarsie from the block (there they love a bit of "I know where I came from" schmooze that should hold 'em for a bit).

Oh reeeeeaaaaallly Dahhhhlings I expect the BBC will lay on a far better class of underling for me than this! It is more than can be expected of me to endure *faints dramatically*.

:DOh yes! I would love a moat. I could pull up the drawbridge and keep the peasants out. Right now I have two little ponds with interconnecting waterfall full of tadpoles. My garden goes up 1 in 3 in terraces. No fish either - bah.

    Loving this thread! :T

I would offer to come and help with the work myself - but my DIY skills are strictly limited to tea making, biscuit fetching, ladder steadying, bicep squeezing and appreciative murmurs of "Oooh that's coming on lovely" and I expect the BBC has got all those vital areas covered. I imagine that cheerleading and tea-making were top priority when working out the logistics.:rotfl:

I'm not too far away though, so if you feel warm waves of psychic encouragement coming at ya, you'll know I'm thinking of you all beavering away. :D

Yeah but being fair now Janet, it's not the actual Marigolds he's got to worry about. I mean if they just left them like Marigolds were meant to be and did Marigold type things with them that'd be alright, 6 boxes of Marigolds has at least thier practical value. Of course there's always eBay too...

*Sigh* I mean though really, it's so 90's all that stuff, you'd have thought it went out with Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen and the ark really wouldn't you.

I know we can't tell him but oh for the love of Pete please think twice, there is no justifiable reason on this Earth to use that much glue in one day- you'll be as high as a kite. No wonder they didn't ask Nursey, we'll be needing her on standby.

Really though... That's no end for any self respecting marigold when you think about it. Would you want that in your lounge? How ever did she talk you into this, she's a slick woman that Christine! *Shakes head ruefully*

Oh but Sarsie, Marigolds are the in thing. :T I was so thrilled with the idea, I agree 6 boxes is a bit over the top but we have to allow for slippage - and explosions. I thought the colour would go so well with the mosaics that Mike loves. Christine even matched the colours. I agree the glue is excessive but I do so love to take a deep sniff every now and again. Hence they chose me for the job.:D

We must remember not to tell Mike the reason they are taking up his floorboards is to build a whole colony of space for Neville and his rellies. Mike will be so thrilled when he knows. :j

As to Mike's secret loves that I sent to Christine, did I tell you the one about........:p:rotfl::kisses::smileyhea

I was with her till she insisted on mixing & matching the colours. I thought 6 boxes of yellow ones would be quite tasteful. Not so happy with the multi-coloured pattern/swirly thing. A bit Austin Powers for me (especially when connected up to Neville's treadmill ). BTW, I hear the boxes had 25% extra, so that's really 7.5 boxes :)
