Oh but Sarsie, Marigolds are the in thing. :T I was so thrilled with the idea, I agree 6 boxes is a bit over the top but we have to allow for slippage - and explosions. I thought the colour would go so well with the mosaics that Mike loves. Christine even matched the colours. I agree the glue is excessive but I do so love to take a deep sniff every now and again. Hence they chose me for the job.:D

We must remember not to tell Mike the reason they are taking up his floorboards is to build a whole colony of space for Neville and his rellies. Mike will be so thrilled when he knows. :j

As to Mike's secret loves that I sent to Christine, did I tell you the one about........:cool::p:rotfl::kisses::smileyhea

Hi Mike,

I'm another who's been lurking since you first posted. I'm so happy for you how you've managed to turn things around, and I'd like to wish you all the best for the next couple of weeks. I'd so love to come down for the big reveal but it is my niece's birthday so am away that weekend.

Hope you all have a fantastic time, and I can't wait to see the finished product!

You'd be surprised how far a bit of ego stroking can take you with these media types. You're only guessing that we're guessing Mike.

Indeed we could be making it up entirely as we go along... Or we could actually have a day plan pretty much sorted in advance.

Did you see the last episode of DIY SOS with the Beauty and the Beast dining room? Then you will have seen how much of a flap it gets them into when something is late (in this case panelling).

But of course that doesn't *neccesarily* mean that here is a production team who plan. They might only plan for the paid team of tradesmen... Or then again they might have allocated us very clear roles.

I personally declined that big marigold job- swordid I said, tacky, nasty, plain wrong I tried to tell her. Janet though is obviously aiming to bring down the system from the inside.

Just you wait. I tried to stop them. I want that noted as a matter of record.
