Have you considered one of these TV rescue programs? Either to fix the house aka Melinda Messenger or 'rogue traders' of various sorts.

On a more sensible note you have nothing at all to loose from contacting any and all housing associations in the area and asking them if they could partner you in fixing this house, on a kind of shared ownership whereby you pay rent to them for now and buy them out in due course.

And you could do the same for the local college that trains builders!!!! Maybe not exactly to your standards, but get it finished.

Morning all. Just popped in to clock off!

Welcome to the mad house all the new posters.

SB as someone once said, "When all around you are confused, your name is Southernbelle".

Well someone might have said it (I think it was Niccatw but she used different words)lol.

Niccatw, I think you deserved that tenner. The mitigating circumstances being, you saw it whilst travelling in a car, your mother's amazing emergency stop, no distraught shoppers (although they could have been at the till) and the fact that it was your brother's wedding day.

Redlady, keep that axe nice and sharp, breathe deeply and exhale gently.

Happy, get more sleep or take more water with it!

Bed time now so good night all.

Have a good day all tomorrow and see you tomorrow night.

    Hello!

Onto all the DIY progs. Need that makeover! Also thinking about radio documentary...

Not sure how the HA thing would work. Any more info?

Tried the local college things. Elfin Safety rules that one out.

Keep thinking! There has to be something!

My assistant Niccatw will provide you with the linky. Oooh, she has already. Is this thread 24/7 or WOT?

Lovely to have you with us.

Hi Mike and good evening to one and all.

Here's my twopenn'th worth on the Production Company strand of this thread. I may be reading it wrong but as I understand NID's post is:

Rather than trying to get them to take on Mike's cause to include in an up and running series, maybe they could film enough for a whole programme with a view to creating a new series or maybe a one off documentary type programme like Horizon or Dispatches where they could go into more detail about a certain aspect, whether that's the failings of the Courts or the Cowboy Builder side.

I know nothing about production companies or if they are affiliated to any one channel (and so unable to produce programmes which they can sell to other channels). Maybe herein lies a (the) problem. It's been done on the BBC. Maybe approaching an independant production company to make a one off programme could be a way to go, but this could take a very long time for the company to find, say six, good causes to film a whole programme on for them to then sell the series to a channel. Otherwise, you may strike lucky and be just the kind of cause that someone is looking for.

Hmmm... maybe something worth thinking about there. I'll give it some more thought.

    See you soon.

Morning Poo - Hope all is well...

Remember to take nicca's advice and look over your shoulder next time you bend down for that "pound you found"

You're right, my post was indeed to merely point out that it *may* be easier asking them to make a one off documentary about Mikes case, i.e. one that they produce and then commission to a channel.

Or the alternative, consider one of the Sky channels, such as Home Channer or whatever they are (I know they start at channel 240 but that's about it).... Challenge Tommy Walsh was an "easier" programme to get in on, but to be fair i'd rather have an actual cowboy that big lump of tea drinking pork but hey, that's just my opinion!

Its a weird one, I know a few small production companies but they may not be interested in this, moreso due to the obvious risk of libel/slander - but then i'm not sure of the ins-and-outs to be able to establish whether they would consider this as a production then commission it to a channel.

Maybe contact Sky direct - http://sky1.sky.com/show/commissioning-production

Then from this link, click on the boxes such as Acquisitions / Production Team etc etc :D:D
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o
