Hi everybody - been off line for a bit, ended up in hospital with eye problem that is now solved, patch off and I'm raring to go.

everybody is giving their personal opinion. Mine is that Mike's case is iron clad, he know what he is doing and has thought it out. The important point is that he stands out from the crowd and this thread is all of that and more. Let's not forget that television program makers want that extra bit of 'oomph' that makes a program attractive and if necessary sensational.

Let's just follow where Mike leads. Bring on the email Mike.

OK for my pennyworth, I think if you use threats of 1000's emails, etc., my reaction would be to say no anyway, as I think requests work better than threats. There is always the presenters agent/pa here or contact Dom again to see if he can assist getting you some help? You can get his agent if you google, but I would suggest one suitably worded email from Mike in the first instant. DG

    Hi Mike (and everyone else)

I have been lurking on this board for a few days, and am slowly making my way through it.

I just want to say that I hope everything works out for you.

I also wanted to send you this link, may be worth a try http://www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/beonashow/cowboy_trap.shtml
Sorry, if somebody has already posted this, but I haven't made my way through the whole thread yet.

    Good luck

Thanks for this. I have already been through some of their selection process but they went all quiet. I'll try again though.

Mike - I hope you get your house sorted - but I think sending soneone hundreds of emails might put them off you. Sorry - but can you think of a different/better way of standing out?
we all want the same result for you though.

Im going to have to disagree with this. This person will receive hundreds of emails a day from hundreds of different people, all asking for the same thing: assistance with their house, and therefore it is easy just to blend into the masses.

However, if it is made clear to 'Mr. Producer' that Mike has a huge following, lots of support, and a very strong back-story, then that will make him a much stronger candidate for selection. It also makes sense from a business point of view for him, as if he can see that Mike's going to be a popular choice, then he can probably count on more program hits than maybe he would normally.

Hope this sort of conveys what i'm trying to get at.

(Short time lurker... but following very closely ;) )

    Hi again

Things are fine. Just having a think about how to approach a few opportunities. Programme was on last Tuesday but you should be able to find it by going to youtube.com and searching for 'the dolls house paul bridle'... let us know what you think?
