Mike - I need to borrow some of you fan club. Flat news is not great :mad:. The estate agents promised us the carpets would be cleaned and all the mould cleaned off the walls. Needless to say this has not been done :mad: - not sure what happened as estate agents thought it had been done. Ho hum - have written complaint letter to estate agents and are awaiting their enquiries - otherwise Saturday will involved lots of cleaning of walls, windows, carpets etc. :mad:

Get 3 quotes, pick the middle one and pay them yourself then refuse rent until the cost has been borne. So long as you have in writing that they agreed to do it, you can get it done yourself (or at least threaten it)... :D

Last resort - move! :eek:

(unless of course you're asking for us to round and chin the estate agent - with pleasure!)

Haha yes u could do with releasing pent up aggression. Sounds like a good idea doing it yourself if you have it in writing and the don't pay rent till the cost is covered if that's allowed :-) x

I shouldn't think it would take five minutes for the agent to ring their contract cleaners and get them round there?

Agents are getting cleaners/decorators around on Thursday and Friday :j - just annoying that it took several hours to go through the inventory and take photos of all the defects - and no we didn't have it in writing they would do the cleaning.
