    Hi Gallygirl

Welcome to the thread. The BBC will have written to him asking him for a statement to be included in the report. I have a feeling his will be the only household not cheering and having tangy couscous this evening...

Gosh. I do hope he has not lost any sleep worrying about it

I have to say here that you are all in for a treat at the party, I can recommend MW's cooking and hospitality. I will be kind and take on the consumption of alcohol on your behalf, seem to have a fairly good supply of Vino Tinto, Vin Rouge, and even the odd bottle of Red Wine.

Hope they get the right balance on the show tonight Mike, and that someone, somewhere can help. I will get back on my nagging mission here, as MW knows I can be nothing if not persistant, the next few days are the time to go and throw yourself on the Planning & Building Regs mercy as they may have seen the show and will help you with the forms, etc. I am sure they will be kind even without the nail heel shoes.

Now getting ready for our Easter break in our touring caravan, the snow will not stop us, but the high winds may delay the start. Rule 1 don't tow a caravan in high winds!

This time tomorrow we'll all know what they made of it, whether they named him, and whether I look taller than Dom Littlewood. We're exactly the same height. So if it looks like we're not, they're retouching it. Also, he's as bald as a coot, while my hair is thick and luxurious.

Well, as my love of baldies is now well documented in this thread, I'll have to try not to be distracted by the lovely Dom and endeavour to pay attention throughout.

Mike I'm sure you can guess what's happened AGAIN today! Next available date for Sky installation....13th APRIL!!

Considering the contract started 17th MARCH! ... Still trying to sort something out as TV & Internet due to be cut off today at any time, (phone was off first thing this morning!). So far Sky have offered £10 credit for inconvenience!!!!
DS already throwing a strop at the thought of no TV for 2 weeks. Currently in deep poo & about to miss the big event & all festivities!!!!

Best I send my good wishes now! (so very disappointed and ANGRY!!!)

Have fun everybody, I'll get back if I can but will be thinking of you all, 'specially you Mike.x

    That's terrible, SB.

Sky are notorious for carp like this though. A work colleague had his appointment for installation cancelled repeatedly as well. He waited about 6 weeks in the end and then had them out half a dozen times afterwards because his broadband didn't work.

    :(

Good luck, and I hope that they can get it done sooner for you.

E-mail claire.wilson@bskyb.com and tell her you want her or the press office to call you straight away as you're going to call the local paper and get them to do a thing about the unusually awful service you've been receiving. She will probably escalate it to the main Sky press centre. Your main points are the effect on your DS, a party of friends you're holding tonight to watch a friend on television and a DH working abroad whom you may need to call as a relative is critically ill. (The last bit's optional, maybe something similar involving DS). And say the £10 is an insult and represents less than a month's
subscription which you've already paid and haven't had. Sound very cross but polite and tell them exactly what you expect them to do by 6pm this evening or the party will be ruined and everyone will be in tears and talking to the local rag about how disgustingly you have been treated. They may lend you a 3g usb dongle for the time being.

If that fails, use a portable telly or pop next door for 10 minutes and hijack a neighbour's wifi connection. Someone always leaves it unsecured. Costa, McDonald's and Burger King, Wetherspoons and Happy Eater offer free wifi even though you may have to buy the cheapest thing on the menu to get their password. Probably a small soft drink or two nuggets which you don't even have to eat.
