All things considered I think we can forget the paps - too many slobs tonight - but at least we will be warm. Pure dead dopey - get the chillies out, consume in quantity and you won't need the layers.
No snow here (yet) but we are in danger of drowning if this rain keeps up!

Food prep all done this end, drinks sorted, can't wait for Mike's star moment :D

Mike, hope the nerves aren't too bad hun, you're almost there

Yes Whisp - its tipping it down here too in Kent. They were promising snow for tomorrow but have changed their minds, thank God. HAD ENOUGH and want some sun. Just off now to put my bins out for tomorrow, and get the party food set out. Can't wait. See ya later

Mike...have you thought of contacting BBC news South East to get them to do a follow up tomorrow. The more publicity the better - the power of the internet and all that. Guess your local paper is fully aware, don't leave a stone unturned - you never know what help might come forward in the coming days - got to keep the momentum rolling.

OK so no prawns - I've taken some Paella out of the Freezer and some Hot X Buns - might make a bread pudding. decided on gin-less tonic, Ice and Lemon for me. Got a range of other stuff too - get your orders in earlier cause I will be on my bum from 6.45 - don't plan to miss a single second. Sky-Plus is primed and my outfit chosen. Floaty blue blouse with matching cami, tracky bottoms, socks and slippers - where are the Paps??

Can we assume Mike, that you will be suitable primed with Dutch Courage in large quantities? Who are you sharing your 42 inches with? Tell All. Janet

    Hi MW

Local media briefed. Check. Paella without prawns? Come on...

I don't drink much these days (oh! Could he be any more perfect?) but will find some sort of stimulant. Earl Grey anyone?

There's enough Mikey for everyone who wants some...

Good luck for to-night Mike, I'll be watching from this wind blown, snow buried corner of Scotland, and its only 10 miles outside of Glasgow. Due to adverse conditions, I will be dressed in woolly vest, big pants, several fleece layers and my snowsuit on top, but will be waving you on, even if it is difficult to move my actual arm in all these clothes!

    You paint a pretty picture!

Pop round and check if niccatw's cup cakes are as big as she says, would you?

    Just curious...

No swooning SouthernBelle - you have food and drink to prepare for tonight because you are way behind. We don't seem to have any garlic bread at this party. Haven't seen any salad either. Get moving, time is marching on. You can do your swooning when Mike pops up at 7pm - if he ain't swoon material we can pitch all the food at the telly. Don't let us down Mike - revenge is sweet - forget your bloody builder!! WE are the force to be reckoned with.

Bit late to bring on the subs now!

All the best for tonight Mike. I'm another one creeping out of the e-woodwork to 'fess up to compulsively reading your thread. I've had the show sky+ ed for about a week now & intend to watch it G&T in hand....
