That's OK SB - the party will begin at 7.30pm. I'll bring the Pringles, enough for both me and Red, nuts and fruit juice. On strong anti-biotics till nxt Wednesday and alcohol would make me sick - don't remember when I have gone so long without some stimulus of an evening. White wine or Whisky is my tipple. Life is boring - yawn.

Mike - you are very quiet today, are the nerves creeping in? or are you busy signing photographs to hand out!!!!! What have you bought for the party - 6 packs I bet. You need sustenance to take you thru your promotional tour next week, hand shaking, flag waving - you know - all the famous stuff. Janetx

Hand shaking already. Both of them!

Nerves crept in, smashed the place up, and crept out again!

Late start, walk on the beach, thinking a lot, wondering what on earth will happen next, chores, map (vivid dream about being in a bar and they wouldn't let me change channel and watch the programme...)

Usual sort of daily stuff but haven't been near the PC much. Yes, feeling a bit quiet I guess.

Knowing there are a few (!) people on here supporting me and being so thoughtful and generous helps enormously.

SB, thanks for your kind words, you have no idea what it means to me. Regarding my suggestion of uploading a certain part of a programme that'll be on at 6.55pm on Tuesday 30th March on BBC1, it didn't occur to me that it could be seen as blackmail! The intention was just to further name and shame the cad and kind of warn any other poor unsuspecting people. I guess on reflection, the suggestion of deleting it upon completion of his duty to repay his debts is kind of like a threat. Hmmm... I suppose the alternative is to upload it and leave it regardless of what he does!

I wasn't the first to mention the on-line party, but I've firmly jumped on the bandwagon (although I'm not playing any instruments). I'll be here anyway, partying away, snacking on my Fruit n Fibre (in the absence of crisps and Pringles). I hope I won't be the only one here.

Hey Mike, I understand you may be worried about the airing of the show and possibly the aftermath, but surely the BBC would not have filmed it never mind air it if it wasn't completely justified.

You are such a stronger person than you were even 6 weeks ago when you first posted. You had already achieved so much before you posted on here and I guess you thought the battle may have been over for a while and not expecting to launch back in there quite so soon and in the way that you are.

I have nothing but admiration for you and your achievements and whatever happens afterwards, please know that you have the backing of so many of us on here. We're right behind you as are the BBC!

I have every faith that you will deal with whatever happens after the show, whichever way this saga turns. No point worrying now, nothing has changed yet. Deal with it when/if it happens and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

If there were awards for posts, you'd get one for that.

I don't really think he'll get nasty. I'm glad no-one's making a programme about what a terrible person I am though (have to be a 26-part series). It's hard to imagine the penetration programmes such as this have. His old teachers, children's teachers, friends, his kids' friends, work colleagues, current employer, his family, his Aunty Vi, old schoolfriends, ex lovers, the bloke at the petrol station... he's going to need a good story for them. I believe the ripples spread outwards from something like this for years. I doubt it will be plain sailing for me either. I'm expecting to hear from all sorts of people who know me, and who don't. If anything, that worries me more than anything else.

That and being shown as a pillock who pays a builder up front... but I did have my reasons and it felt like either the right thing, or the least bad option at the time.

I feel an article coming on... Fire up the laptop!
