If you quote a sentence from start to finish - it isn't modified....is it? It's just quoted!!!!

    Dear oh dear.

But surely the paragraph has been edited by deleting part of it so it can be taken out of context. Why should editing only apply to a sentence and not to a full comment? Just because a sentence is taken in full if the other sentences around it are not quoted then it does not necessarily come across as the poster was intending.

Nothing was taken out of context and the meaning of the sentence wasn't changed by the omission of the first part, the quoted part of the sentence reads exactly as it was meant.

If i was you OP I would either shop somewhere else or just get a drivers licence and use that
But I have a Driving Licence (I am an advanced police driver too and have a card for that :D but doubt the Co Op would understand it). However, is that sufficient ID to buy a tomato related cooking sauce?

    !!!!!!, how thick are you???.

    Finally...........

Read the definition of editing as has now been confirmed by Storck although you even seem to want to argue with that! You'll also ignore any definitive eg dictionary/thesaurus definition to suit your own argument. You go into sarcastic comments like VOR. You're probably of the 18-25 age group like him (I know I'm right with that I can tell) that just goes into childish mode whenever you're wrong. To get back to your question, yes in your case, yes, very!!!!!!!!!

I know who this no-mark troll is! At least I think I do....

Isn't this uktim29/31, timewaster and cementhead extraordinaire, long since booted off but no doubt re-emerged many times?

If I'm wrong, then God help us, there's more than one of them, which would explain why this country's going to the bleedin' dogs....

Probably.......I thought I recognised the [ahem] 'style'.
  • LOL...I gave up at page 4 but this thread made me chuckle...I love the internet sometimes, the thought that someone can spend 21 pages of a thread defending the need to ID someone for Chicken Tonight is fab....

I need to buy vine tomatoes, do you think I need to be ready for ID in case the shops system flags it and the SA can't see the bags and wrinkles on my 40 year old face :D
