Three leftover doughnuts

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm........................................:T :T

It was absolutely fantastic. It looked brilliant. I put the sultanas at the bottom, then the doughnuts on top, then wedged the choccy buttons in between, then poured over the cream/egg/sugar mix and let it soak for an hour or so. It was cooked in about 40 minutes. I used a bit of the leftover cream to pour over it and it was absolutley amazing (even if I am so bold to say so myself!!!:p )
The dish was scraped clean and is in the sink now with the washing up!
Want it again now!!!

So will you be getting Asda doughnuts again in the future?

Yeah, will you make this dessert with ASDA doughnuts? Or would you use other doughnuts0

i'd use any doughnuts as long as they were reduced in price - I'm not fussy!!! It should work just as well with jam ones, I'd just make sure the jam bit was facing downwards as the top does brown and I think the jam might burn.
There's a French named company that do rolls and doughnuts, can't remember their name, but their stuff is often in small shops, red and blue packaging.......anyway, they do chocolate filled doughnuts.......now they would be luvverly...........:D
Might have to sneak off to the local Asda later - wonder what time they double reduce on a Sunday.........:p

Well, I think you're dead clever. You should come up with a name for this pudding. How about Minx's Delight?

they'd have to be really disgusting doughnuts for me not to eat them all within the hour...:eek:ok, so i'm hot...
:cool:0 -
they weren't really nice to be honest (pre-pudding recipe!) they were quite heavy and stodgy, and there was only a tiny tiny bit of filling in them

I've been very good and not gone to see if there are any reduced -and they close in 10 minutes..
But - there's always tomorrow!!0
