I've just tested this and have to say I am very impressed with it:TThe past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0

The one off payment figures just dont add up. Tried several figures and feel they cant be right.
For example
Repayment per month £264
£10 One off would save me £254 - surely cant be right
therefore if £10 is that high - paying £100 should be higher
£100 = £164 - Maybe right
£200 = £329 - Cant be right
therefore paying £300 should be higher than £329 erm no
£300 = £229
Figures all over the place.
This should be fixed now, thanks for letting us know about itFormer MSE team member0 -

I'm getting some bugs in Firefox.... the speech bubble text box which drops down below the 3 options overlaps the box for Oustanding Mortgage when I click on the Ditch your Fix option. Also, the text box isn't big enough for all the text under the overpayments option... the words "of them" is outside the box.0

I think this is really good. We are thinking about getting a mortgage in the next few months and this is great, i like the way that it tells me in basic language, simply what our repayments are likely to be over the course (obviously 7.5% is the average interest rate over the term) and how much i would save by taking out a 5 year mortgage instead of 10 years etc0

Hi just had a go,worked out that my daughter could not afford a bigger mortgage looks like she might be knocking at the bank of DAD.Also looked at the increase in payments due to interest increases, saved me a lot of time thanks team.0

Perhaps mentioned before by someone else, but i seem to only be able to put in one lump sum payment, i get bonus every year, so would like to put them all in.
OK, so found annualy, but i do not get the same bonus every year.0 -
That was easy for us financially illiterate folks.
I liked the bit on ditch your fix where it tells you how low the interest rate would have to be to make the arrangement fees etc worthwhile - that's something I generally struggle with. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Thats true, I didn't - but in which case, what figures does it use?
In terms of the actual calculator, I think the layout and design are great. There are obviously a lot more things that could be added though - like a tie in to the budget calculator and telling you what mortgage you could afford?0
