It was the fact that the front wing had been resprayed badly. What kind of things did they mark your car down on bclark?
Thats a different story tbf, the Car came from Motorpoint and it turned out that it had been resprayed badly before i got it (I bought it as 6 months old. I had always been a bit suspicious about it but stupidly just got on with things. I thought £300 off for that wasn't bad.
I fully accept that for loads of people they are a rip off and not ideal but its worth a shot. I put my details into their website and it came back a lot higher than I thought, as the office was 10 minutes away I just went for it.
Have you tried seeing what they quote online for your Car?0 -
They have offered 4350 for my car online. Like you the office is only a five or ten minute drive away from my house so will be going down on Friday now for an appointment. Did you have to make a decision their and then, or did they give you a few days to think about their offer? This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0

My guess is they will end up offering you about £3000 to £3500 for it.
I hope I'm wrong.

If I were you I would put it on ebay with a buy it now price, make the buy it now price £4500 but be willing to negotiate if someone comes to view it with cash.
This is what we did. We saw a BMW advertised fairly local, it had a buy it now price and was also on auction (with no bids). I emailed him to go a view the car and ask for his tel. no., I rang him to arrange to view the car, we went and made a cash offer and drove the car away. The car was advertised £7495 buy it now, we paid £7350 cash.
I prefer to see a buy it now price because at least you have an idea what the seller wants as oppose to a reserve that you have no idea what figure they have in their mind (and who can read minds). A buy it now is an upfront price that either gets people interested or not.
Good luck.

It really depends on the Car to be fair. It depends if there are any little things that you feel they may highlight. If not then it might be worth 5 minutes of your time. I don't know if you get a chance to think about it to be honest. They have offered 4350 for my car online. Have you got the Car in autotrader or similar? It might be worth while just putting it on for a few hundred quid higher then your bottom limit and seeing what happens, it is a substantial drop from what you have it on for now.0 -
I sold mine to them for £9850 when the book price was £9700 to be fair. They only knocked £300 off the price they gave me on-line too so I have no complaints about them at all.
I wopuld actually say that they are no good for cars less than £1000 because they look to resell them at carcraft which tend to try and flog cars a little bit better than that, although for vastly inflated sums at high APR's.
Worked for me.
Quoted 810 online, walked away with 750 for a car I couldn't give away.0
