    Good morning :D

It's snowing here  and has been since 7am. DS2 is pleased as his teacher has cancelled today's study day as she can't get into school. We've consequently had a lazy morning so far and not really got a lot done apart from the WM & TD doing their thing.

I'm doing pancakes for lunch with hot apple puree and ice cream - I'll make the batter & start cooking them soon as no doubt it'll get like a production line. I like the idea of 2 pans that someone mentioned think I'll have to give that a go :T

    Remmie Lovely news :)

SOMO1 :j Way to go with the exam results

    Redruby Gorgeous chair :)

Haribo Garden sounds great I must get out & look at ours this weekend

Other plans for today are to do the Flylady list and do some more crochet squares for my blanket. I have done 25 so far out of 120 so it's moving along nicely.

Tea tonight is chilli the base of which was made yesterday :T I just need to add beans & chilli to it when reheating and cook the rice today.

Have a good day all xxx

    Morning all!

Half term and kids are already on the wii games! :rotfl:

Rotten wet day here, got the drier droaning on trying to get towels dry, the washer/dryer is getting noisy of late, so I'm guessing it's on the way out.:o

Been getting some prices lately of new windows, as our wood ones have started splitting, have decided who to get them from, just need to sort out delivery etc and then DH needs to book time off from work to fit them. My neighbours already have new windows and I can't believe how much noise they block out, so am looking forward to that!

Just about to put a bacon joint in the SC for tea and then gonna make some fairy cakes with the kids and a victoria sponge. I also got some unwaxed lemons on offer in Lidl yesterday for pancakes and to make a lemon/poppy seed cake later in the week.

    redruby - lovely chair!
remmie - thats a lovey story!
    somo1 - Congratulations! well done
taplady - sorry to hear that news, yes your right it does put our little worries into perspective (hugs) x

Off for some baking now, enjoy your OS day!xx

... Might do a bit more cleaning today - truth be told I just can't be bothered with it :o I have all these wonderful ideas of de-cluttering and sorting out things but kids want to get out and about and by the time we come back I've got zero energy. How do you peeps motivate yourselves to keep on top of it all?....

    Morning All,

We have had snow this morning, only a couple of centimetres and it is rapidly melting but my heart sank. I can't wait for the springtime.

    Redruby I love the chair:j
Taplady So sorry to hear that. My SIL had something very similar, it was at the base of her neck. They never did operate, 10 years on she takes medication but otherwise is fine. Hope it turns out ok.

Well a really lazy day today. DS3 has requested a movie day in our pj's and with the snow outside sounds like a good idea. I think UP is first in the list then Beauty and the Beast. Awful PP's today so can't think of anything better!
Tea tonight is home made fish chips and mushy peas, just fish and peas for moi (weigh in tomorrow)
DD, SIL, and DGS came for tea last night and took the apple crumble leftovers with them! so will probably make Nigella's Choc brownies this afternoon. DS2 made them for his girlfriend on Valentines and they were lovely.
Got a fab new crochet book from the library yesterday so planning to make a bag for the summer. If it turns out ok may make a few for gifts as I have challenged myself to HM all bday presents this year.
Hoping to get The Happy Hooker for my bday on Sunday (yes it is a crochet book LOL:rotfl:)

Have a good day peeps x

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning!

Sorry I have been missing in action again! I have spent some quality time with dd looking for her wedding dress and I think we have found THE ONE!:j She looked so beautiful and I will admit I cried! :o:D

Now we have to get a good price so we are sending in her future mil who is brilliant at getting good deals! She runs a dress agency!

I can hardly believe that it is only 7 weeks since ds was married! Not sure what normality is anymore!:rotfl:

I spent the weekend sorting out the larder and am still working on the freezers, amazing what I found in them and am jam/jelly making in winter as a result! I have 4 jars of blackberry jelly in the cupboard and 4 more to make today.

    remmie - that's so lovely!

    Taplady - (((hugs)))

Shez - good luck with the windows and the washing machine (ouch)

haribo - wonderful bargains! Very jealous - our dump just dumps!

Floss -Love the hanky! I inherited a plaque from my grandparents

"Come in, sit down, relax, converse,
our house doesn't always look like this,
    sometimes it's even worse!"

Very apt for us as well!:rotfl:
