Morning all
Love and hugs to those who are sad or poorly.
Wet and mild here today. OH had an early start by I managed to stay asleep so have had a nice lie-in until just after 7am, now have first coffee of the day, it always tastes the best! Had smoked sausage pasta last night as always was very nice, and I remembered to get the chicken out to defrost for tonight, so tonight's dinner is chicken breast topped with stuffing then wrapped in bacon, with mash and veg, yummy.
Had a productive day yesterday managed to get both boys clothes cupboards/wardrobes sorted, took 5 bags of clothes to the clothes bank! Needless to say their rooms seem much tidier today. Today we are going bowling (bowling alley doing a special cheap deal for this half term) so want to get the coat rack sorted this morning and the boys need to clean their rugby boots. I also have a little basket of washing to get dried and then ironed. The new part for my hoover arrived yesterday and I've now fitted it.
Will start to think about menu for next week and the shopping for the end of this week, if I want a delivery will need to book on-line otherwise the best times will be gone.
Will try to get papers and documents tidied up in the dining room - need to find a home for them as they are in piles on the top of the cupboards!
Not much other OS going on here, will sign off now otherwise I will still be here in several hours.
Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning everyone :hello:
I haven't been keeping up again so sorry if I've missed anyhthing important
.
Lovely chair Ruby and sorry you are missing DD
That's a lovely story Remmie.
The girls were away for a couple of days at the weekend so OH and I got lots of jobs done. When he promised me a dirty weekend I didn't quite envisage pressure washing 3 tonnes of dirty gravel but there you go.
I did get a huge bunch of lillies, some chocs and a lovely card too though.
The garden is starting to look good again. We've undone alot of the chicken damage and have taken preventative measures to protect the summer crops. Spring has definitely sprung here :j. All the birds seem to be back as is my friendly frog in the pond and we've had some great sunshine.
Did a dump run yesterday only to come back with more than we took as usual. :rotfl: (an antique (from a church), shelving unit, a victorian wooden plant stand and a stained glass fronted oak book case for the hall) Did pay for it though as the dump have set up a recycling centre but £40 for the lot was very worth it.
The girls are back to schol today and are just polishing off some pancakes. I need to catch up with the ironing today as I've neglected that in favour of the garden. Tea will be turkey bolognese and pancakes for pud.
Hope everyone has a great day. xxxx0 -
Morning All ,
Only two more sleeps till I get on a plane with my gorgeous hubby and get away from everything! :j:j:j:j:j
MSD - :A Bless you for thinking of us x
stressedoutmumof1 - :T Well done you on passing your exam!
remmie - what a lovely story. It's lovely to hear from people you don't speak to but often think about isn't it? One of the main things I love about fb.
Well, today I have to fake another day at work
. Due to everything that's happened to me, and the fact that I've only been in work for 3 days this month, no one's giving me anything to do! Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, but it does get a little boring at times. Maybe I can convince the webmasters at MSE to change to banner at the top of the page to blue then I could just surf it all day as it would look like my work's colours at a swift glance...?
:shhh: Clutching at straws I think...:D
OS wise, I still need to decide what to cook for tea tonight. It's rainy and murky here so it makes me want something hearty and warming, but it's actually quite mild so not sure now. Might do macaroni cheese I suppose relatively painless but v tasty and always leftovers for lunches.
Also need to pack tonight as DH and I are staying in the Premier Inn at Gatwick tomorrow night. When we went on honeymoon in 2008 we left over 6 hours to get to Gatwick, but our train broke down and we ended up making it by the skin of our teeth! Needless to say, we really really don't need that sort of stress at the moment so P Inn it is!
Any OS advice for a stubborn patch of eczema (underneath my engagement, wedding and eternity rings)? I stress that I am NOT asking for medical advice just wondering if there's are any cheap moisturisers that I've not come across before.
Seem to have rambled on for ages so have a lovely day, with lots of huggles from Lowesy

morning!
Diva - I havent seen them but DH has and he thinks they are grass snakes. Our neighbour was worried they were adders but we dont think they are. You're more than welcome to come for a look!:D
Remmie - a lovely story and its nice to hear some good news:T
Redruby - gorgeous chair!
haribo - those items from the dump sound great value!
SOMO1 - well done :T
Curleytop - good luck at the hospital x
back to work here later. Just having a slow start as its an 11 hour shift followed by a 10 hour shift.
DH is having the remains of the bean sprouts with some noodles for lunch and he and DS are having fish, chips and curry sauce from the freezer for tea. My meals are free today at work!:)
Got aching arms and shoulders from the window cleaning yesterday but they are all done now and nets and voiles washed and put back up. I also cleaned out the fridge.
Had some more bad new last night - Mum told me that my cousin's wife has got a brain tumor - she's breast-feeding their 3 month old prem son and they are both mourning my auntie's death just over a week ago. The tumor is the size of a fingernail but is benign. They hope to be able to operate when she's had some more scans. This has put my worries into perspective really.
Hope you all have a good day xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Try hemp cream from Body Shop, works wonders on all types of skin problems xxx0 -
Morning all. It's freezing here and I have to summon up the energy to walk the dog! Got to relist all my freecycle stuff that people didn't bother turning up for yesterday:mad:
Diva I love snakes, send them here:D
Remmie That is so nice, makes it all worthwhile. I know someone who is claiming to have PND and her youngest is 13:rotfl:
Haribo I wish our dump did that. We went at the weekend and the stuff people were chucking out was unbelievable:eek:
Curleytop Hope it goes ok at the hospital
Stressedmum Well done:T
Bitsy I love millionares shortbread but can't be bothered to make it

Good morning all
How are we all doing today?
SOMO1 - Great news on the exam results!
Remmie - what a fab story, hope the meeting goes well!
Bitsy - I know exactly how you feel with having the motivation to do the house, I have a DS who is going to be 2 in August and DD who is 8 and between them if they were to walk into a tidy house they would have it looking like a bomb site within the hour!! Sometimes you just don't have the energy, but as my mum always says, it will still be there tomorrow. Plus it's not as if we're not making the effort to tidy... :A
Lowesy - in case I don't get chance before, have a great holiday  hope you come back feeling refreshed and relaxed
Taplady - your poor cousin's wife
that is so much to cope with all at one time, poor things. Hope you are doing ok, sending big :grouphug: your way.
Well, made some inroads on the house last night as DD elected to stay at her auntie's house last night so she could have a lie in this morning, so got DS into bed early and managed to get about 3 loads of washing done :T which is a good start in advance of my days of over the rest of the week. Tea tonight is chicken jambalaya (new recipe, never tried it before), and lunch today is the yummy tuna pasta bake that I made last night, followed by some HM cookies that OH has baked over the last couple of nights.
Tonight's plans are to get the BM prepped, WM on (x3 again if poss!) and to s&s the bathroom......
Hope everybody has a good day

Morning all............(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one.
We have a trip to Haddington this morning to pick up a fold up bed. I hope the mattress is ok.....it will be for DGS to sleep on when he comes later this year. Will nip into Aldi for some bits whilst we are there, might even buy a couple of bottles of wine!!
We had the boiler serviced yesterday, heating working better this morning, apparently it had been turned down, no wonder we were getting no heat......suspect K was the culprit when the house was empty.....
There has been a very heavy frost over night, forecast the same again tonight, the multi fuel stove was still in this morning, so nice and warm in the sitting room. We have at last identified it as a Hunter Midi 14 which, when the boiler was in situ would have heated the whole house, its a shame that the boiler was not replaced, its very efficient.
Ofsky for now, may be back later, have a good day.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
