Do you know any makes & model of mobile phones that have GPS. Ideally also have picutre & video.

If you can post the URL to the product.

Information about phone deals would also be wanted.

You can get software such as TomTom for Symbian phones, but I don't know of any mobiles that have a GPS receiver built in.

At the moment you need to buy a seperate GPS device and get it to talk to your phone via Bluetooth.

I don't know anything about gps mobile phones but here's a link to some gps phones advertised on ebay, you should be able to get the model types and then search for more details.

    Link here.

Shouldn't be too long before these are available in the UK by the looks of it.

as said earlier, you need to look out for symbian based phones,

here is a helpful link, it has all the phones that tom tom mobile5 works on

    http://www.tomtom.com/support/category.php?ID=2&Language=1&FID=2551

    click the red writing

afaik, all those phone would connect via bluetooth, so you would need an external bluetooth as stated.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=227078&highlight=bluetooth+gps

is a thread, which talks about them, i think they said mobile fun was cheap at only £40 ish.

so get one of each, and then the tom tom 5 software, and you should be sorted.

oh, and you may need a memory card, that is compatible with the phone, to store the tom tom files on, so check that out to, depends on the phone tho, the nokia n91 has 4gb iirc, so probably not for that

either way, hope you find what you need

Remember that for best results the GPS receiver needs to see as much of the sky as possible, whereas the phone needs to be close to the driver. (assuming you are not orienteering!). Maybe best to have BT linked GPS unit to your phone. I have a Nokia N70 with TomTom 5 and a seperate GPS unit which works well.

A Mitac Mio A701 would do the job. A friend has one and is pretty happy with it. Otherwise there's the E-Ten G500. They're both around the net from about £300 plus GPS software of your choice to run on Windows Mobile.

I'm personally waiting about 6 months till something like the Nokia N95 or HTC Trinity are released, which will have GPS built in, but also 3g calling, HSPDA data etc.

The phones with built in GPS are few and far between the mio A701 is pretty much the one that is being banded about.
If your in a hurry and want a cheaper option there are lots of phones that are capable of running tom tom mobile like the Nokia N70 which most phone suppliers are giving away I think, the moto razer dont work, windows smart phones and the pda based windows mobile phones (XDA's and SPV's) run tom tom navigator really well I have 2 SPV's the m500 and the m1000 both run tom tom navigator 5 to get it to work you need a bluetooth GPS receiver that can be bought for about £35 on ebay.

By GPS I mean that it can tell you where you are and how to get there. Like the car navigation system that helps you to find an address.

    Thanks everyone for your information.
