Hi Red, sounds promising - try not to spend all weekend worrying about it.

I know what you mean about letting things slip, I just don't care quite as much anymore. I have a spare £5 in my bank account which previously would have been sent straight to Lloyds, but I am currently thinking mmm Saturday night Chinese!

It's surprisingly easy to slip back into spending mode.

But sometimes you just have to give yourself a break and live a little.

I truely believe a few days away (without increasing debt) would do us the world of good! Those that are long haulers on here seem to always advocate having treats from time to time, which is not the same as spending recklessly like before!

:T I agree with small treats, that cream bun went down a treat.
So long as the debt is not increasing your going in the right direction, im frustrated by the amount of money im wasting on interest charges

WooWoo - very hot weekend. Spent Sat in the garden clearing up - worlds messiest husband (who left everything at his !!! all winter) took two van loads to the dump!! Burnt my back, silly girl that I am

Yesterdy we went to Garden Show Ireland with friends - glorious but DH and I got down because we couldn't buy anything - we had already paid £8 in and also had to make dinner for our friends! I didn't want them to come to the house as I hadn't cleaned (because I was outside enjoying the sunshine) and their house is spotless and I mean spotless. DH was supposed to fend them off and suggest we eat out - but then again same problemo - no money! So they came here and I got very embarassed. I am not that houseproud but I do blush when the bathroom floor is covered in footprints!!

I hate having no money and I hate not being able to stay on top of having no money because that costs you money - this month I missed two dd's, another £50 'fine' and of course the dd's must be paid this month on top of the rest! Business debt is a little better I think but haven't got into a good system with it to really be sure of where we are - I must focus on that.

Good news - sold a dress on Ebay which allowed me to buy a dress on Ebay for the wedding we are going to on June 12th - so nothing made but nothing lost either!

Long timers - does everyone hit another brick wall a few months is or is it just that I am flakey??

Red you are not flakey, you are being responsible about your debt and your not going to feel positive about it all the time, because let's face it being is debt is bloody crap!

I know how you feel about not having the cash to do things with friends etc, you agree to do things together but know you have to spend all day worrying about staying in your very tight budget. It is important to still go out and spend time with your friends though to maintain your friendships.

Keep battling on, you will get there x

I totally agree with the above post.

In answer to your question..we all hit brickwalls sometimes but it does get better and easier over time especially when you've got a few cards out of the way.
