I need to sit down and work out exactly who he owe's (all suppliers) and then work out payment plan - he is so bad at paying anyone and always pays who cries the loudest - which is non-sensical. None are charging interest but more importantly he does not pay them regularly and then panics they are going to sue him, which if he paid small and often they would NEVER do!
I think I need to treat business like domestic accounts and get a total handle on them and watch every penny there too to try and get a handle on it - perhaps if I work smart and combine them I could keep all the payment plans I have made on current snowball and start cancelling some of his debts.
Umn... food for thought and yet it wont be tomorrow because the weather is to be good and I will be in the garden....a mess I love!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Sounds like a good plan taking over the business accounts.0

Thanks hun, its just trying to make the money stretch to pay everyone that needs paid and being annoyed at not having the money to pay as much off cc as I would like. As a result I think that paying Ricardo off by Dec is impossible, which as the avid readers will know, is a source of great pain to me.
HOWEVER, being the eternal optimist, if I get business sorted and on level key then ALL extra money can got to debt with interest so there is a slight chance that debt might clear quicker but that might be in my dreams as opposed to my reality.
I am scared of the business debt, it is no-where near as big as personal but its more debt for me to deal with. Yet I know all to well that being scared of it does two things - it increases it and it doesn't make it go away.
I have talked to DH and he says he agrees - but haven't we been here before. I explained for it to work he needs to account for every penny he spends, without question, and he needs to sell everything he can! He said ' I have walked the plank and am now on board' (very profound)
If the sun doesn't shine tomorrow I will work on this scheme - if it does I will try to have go after dark, although it is hardly a chore of a Sunday night!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Good luck with sorting through the figures. Personally speaking I would try and deal with ALL the finances - ie personal and business. That way, you can see the full picture without thinking you are doing really well on one side, and then finding that actually you are way off on the other.
Enjoy the sunshine, but don't put off doing the figures for too long.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Red
I think you would be wise to take on the business accounts as well, you now have a very good grip on your personal accounts and would probably feel happier to have control over everything instead of just hoping OH is accounting for everything!
Good luck with sorting it all out later, I'm sure your not looking forward to it, but will feel all the better for tackling it xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Yes hun I will and thanks for the good wishes.
It is just depressing beccause I know Debt Free Day is going to be pushed way back, probably by a year and you know how much I love Ricardo. I hate to think I will be paying more interest too. Very negative I know.
I dreamt last night that I was debt and mortgage free on my fiftith birthday (8 years away). I think it was because I was reading Taxis' diary! But not a bad aim in reality and would be great achievement!. Currently our mortgage has 20 years left and of course by going interest only this month I have given myself some extra worries, but we will see.
