Hey lady! Don't beat yourself up, you're doing brilliantly in the face of adversity!

I think everyone approaches debt repayment differently. I have a set figure set aside every month and whatever I have left after the minimum has been paid I tend to put it to the highest paying card or the one that has least time left on a deal. I know others try to pay one debt off at a time but given the magnitude of my debt it's not really an option for me!

Have you looked at the snowball calculator and had a play around with it, it's worth it www.whatsthecost.com just to see the difference a few pounds make.

The good thing is you ARE doing something, you're not burying head in sand so however you approach cannot be the wrong way.

As for OH, I share your despair, it has taken me YEARS to get OH in the position he is now - my foot firmly on his head - but I am keeping everything crossed he stays like this. He has a vision of debt free life in 9 years and is focused on that date or I will put both feet on his head!

    Keep going, you're doing brilliantly!

    2nd debt - MBNA - £6,618.52
First in many many to go - baby steps and all that!
First lump sum to go - fingers crossed!
