How do I get him to understand?
Just had a breakdown of spends - at first he couldn't account for £100, then after some loud discussion, he admits to £10 on lunch on Friday, £10 lottery, and other bits and pieces relating to his van (up for MOT next week) which is a business expense - can he find receipts can he hell!!!!!!!!!
His usual arguement is to whinge about the cost of me smoking - gonna get him there when I stop smoking then aren't I.
And what did he use as final whinge 'aren't I letting you sell my DVD's - Jes*s H Chr1st - you think they had a pulse!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Hi Red, Have just been reading your diary and LMAO at some of your sayings. Hope you get lucky with the PPI reclaims, I had to take some of mine to the FOS but got a few pounds back so it was worth it. I'm only waiting to hear from Barclaycard now and don't think I'm going to be due an awful lot of money from them.
I went through the CCCS this time last year and it's taken some of the pressure off me. I currently pay £151 per month and my debts are similar to yours. CCCS advised me to go bankrupt but I risked losing my home and couldn't have coped with that so I've managed to get all creditors to accept pro rata payments. I still have a few hairy months where there too much month for the money but on the whole it's working out alright. I have very little spare money at the end of the month but at least everything is paid.
I've subscribed to your thread so keep the humour coming, it's brightened my day today.12/04/2019

I have been reading some more diaries tonight - Mr RMC is watching Braveheart (on TV, cuz I sold his dvd, LMAO) and have realised that as of yet I have done nothing to actually reduce my debt, I mean I have no plan, I have no snowball and had it not been for Mum & Dad RMC, I would be up to my neck this month.
Am I right in thinking I need to get minimum payments sorted, spend as little as possible on food and other general expenses as my first step. My logic tells me that then I will be able to look at this whole debt business more objectively. Obviously, all the extra I make on Ebay etc will go to Richard (I may have mentioned how much I dispise him just once or twice). If I am totally off field, please feel free to tell me. I just worry when I read how people plan to clear massive debt in two years or less. It makes me think I am doing this wrong but as it stands I dont see us having a pile of money to pay extra. We do have a loan with A&L (first cousins of Richard, me thinks) that has 22 months to run (£189.66) so that will be a great release, or as I should say, a great payment to another.
Just a quick sideline - last night I dreamt that Martin phoned me at work to tell me my spelling was terrible - how weird is that
What most people do is pay min payments on most things and throw the rest at the highest APR debt..then when that ones finished throw all the money at the next one and so on...that is what snow balling is.0 -
