congratulations on reducing your debt by 10%.
i never thought i'd see the light, but suddenly it was as if i'd turned a corner and the spiral started working in my favour and the more i paid off the more my debt reduced. Now i know that sounds silly, but after interest was added i never cleared as much as i paid IYKWIM0 -
Oh I know exactly what you mean!
I am paying almost £1000 and only clearing less than £500!
But as you say the day will come when I am paying more loan/cc than I am interest and that is one day I will cherish!
You on the other hand are most definately past that day, your tunnel is dug and you can see the lightLBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Know that feeling well re paying loads and only reducing a bit.
You will get there and as the debt reduces you may get some 0% or low LOB transfers to help out....0 -
Know exactly what you mean about the interest, I paid a massive £1500 off this month and only reduced it by £990 - bit demoralising but as Taxi said hopefully in time some 0% or LOB offers will come along as it reduces - at least it is moving in the right direction1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

I am starting to wonder if the Light bulb is flickering for the government at the moment. guess we'll see soon how bright it is.0 -
As one who has been there, with the stupid 29.9% APRs, I can catagorically confirm that it DOES get better!
Keep going - you are all doing far better than you give yourself credit for!

Good Evening
Another update from the Bank that likes to do whatever the F**k it likes - Absurd & Ludicrous
If you transfer £300 from your account it leaves that second and arrives the next second (faster payments). You can only complete one faster payment a day.
If you transfer more than £300 it takes 3 or 4 days to arrive at choosen destination. It, of course, also leaves your account that second! (And I wonder who gets the interest on that!)
A&L have the most bizzare system I have ever observed. It is now a serious aim (even before CC) to get o/d down to First Direct level so I can switch! I think they have become my new Ricardo!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Today was an ok day.
I am still frantactially moving money from peter to paul and hoping tom doesn't call but once this week is over, it should be easier. However, by being so vigilant I am ensuring no charges so far, which is the important thing.
I have also realised why this diary is so important to me...............it truely is the place where I write what is in my head re figures. DH doesn't have the attention span to listen while I 'move this to here and then to there and if I ebay a zillion things I am good for 36 hours! Here I just collect the thoughts together and try to make sense of them. And bless you all you read this nonsense!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
