Does that mean you only have to "bring across" one payment? I thought you had to bring across all of them, or at least a few really.

You have to transfer all payments.
If there is only one payment set up on the account and it is transferred then all payments have been transferred.

Argh i knew there was one i hadn't asked.

This should be everything with this one (he says lol).

If i transfer a payment from my Halifax account, are the direct debits set up in my "other" Nationwide account not important? Just so long as all "outside" payments are transferred? Or would i have to transfer my Nationwide direct debits from my secondary to main account ALSO?

Don't want to do the Halifax thing if i need to merge all Nationwide payments also.

Just had a proper look at the Nationwide website about this:
    How to switch

    accountyesheader.gifStep 1
Sign on to the Internet Bank, select your FlexAccount and select 'Transfer your account to Nationwide' option from the menu.
Not registered for the Internet Bank? Register now.
    Step 2:
Fill out this 'salary/pension payment form' and return to your employer or pension provider to let them know where you'd like your money to be paid.

    The step 2 part.

I get my wages paid to me weekly. I have recently seen the payroll lady at work to have my wages paid into my Halifax account (to get the £5 a month payment from Halifax).

Do i now have to go back to them and tell them i want my wages paid into my Nationwide account again?

I'm sure i read on here that your wages don't count as part of this £75, but the Nationwide website seems to indicate it does.

Just got round to applying, but: 'The £75 offer to switch your current account has now closed'. Four days early! :(

No - you can leave your salary arrangement as it is.
For Nationwide, all you have to do is ensure that you have sufficient funds in Flex the account the working day before a payment is due.

The £75 offer to switch your current account has now closed. However, you can still use our easy online Account Transfer Service to switch your current account to us. It could take as little as 3 weeks to transfer all of your Direct Debits, standing orders and bill payments.

I switched my account on 17th Feb and asked Nationwide to transfer my DD's on 28th, which was before the offer was advertised as ending (5th March) so I assumed that my £75 was safe!

1)I received all my internet banking info& debit card etc, logged in to my account but no DD's. By 8th Mar I was concerned.
2)I rang them and they said they had no record of my transfer request.
3)They emailed confirming my transfer request ???!!!!
4)I emailed them to ask them to investigate and confirm that the £75 offer was valid before transferring anything as I had made it within the offers time frame.
5)They rang me to say that because I asked them to transfer my account on 28th and not immediately and that the closing date for the offer had changed to earlier than 5th March, the £75 offer was not valid.
This wasn't that obvious so I would say READ THE T's&C's VERY CAREFULLY!!!:exclamati
