Tesco and Civil Recovery Limited Scam!

So another innocent mistake. Funny that. Out of interest why was she targetted.
I would suggest that she did intend to steal the items and suspicous activity gave her away.0 -
where were the lipsticks when the security guard came over? if she "forgot" (yeah right) to lift them out and put them on the checkout then they would still be in the basket at the front of the checkout, no?
So in reality they were either in her bag or her pocket and she knew full well exactly what she was doing, and not speaking good English is no excuse for stealing!!!!0 -
Looks like another 1 post troll0

Dear My MP,
I write to complain about an issue I - and a number of acquaintances - have recently experienced; namely, that of oxygen-thieves ruining perfectly acceptable message-boards by writting utter, utter sh*t and then running away.
I request that you ask a question in The House regarding these copy-and-paste gimps who write such long, nonsensical essays (normally under some spurious pseudonym) in which they suggest that some load-of-b*llocks made-up story has "happened to them/their wife" and then ramble at length in an obvious attempt to flesh out their patchwork of falsehoods.
These one-shot-Willies do not then, as one might assume, stick around to discuss the heinous crimes perpetrated against them (or indeed, their non-English-speaking-but-willing-to-clean-the-house-for-buttons "wives") - surely if the issue was a real one, they'd be more than grateful to discuss ways forward? - but instead never post on the message boards again.
This widespread problem results in unnecessary keyboard wear on the part of those viewing and responding, increased requirement for server capacity (which, I might add, would more profitably be used to carry "Adult Content" sites in my opinion), and most of all, given that these muppets invariably do not return to the scene of their crimes, deprives the forum community of the playful banter and enjoyment the poor sods deserve for trawling through these heap-of-cr*p original posts.
Therefore I urge you, as my MP, to bring the issue of these hard-of-thinking pointlessnesses to the attention of your colleagues in The House.
With best regards,

Where was the unpaid for lipstick found ,and how does your wife say it got there?
I don't agree with the part of your letter where you say " ..courts take a dim view of companies....where the accused has offered to sort out the issue amicably."
There is perhaps something you have not told us here?If someone is accused and offers to pay, that doesn't usually resolve the issue,as a crime has most likely occurred.Or are you saying it hasn't? If not,why not?
Every shoplifter says I forgot to pay, and If she wasnt meant to steal, why would you go to back.
As a Customer If you pick a product from shelf either you are commiting to buy it or ........... and if you wont put it on the checkouts than answer is .......
Security wont stop someone unless they are doing suspisious activities, if they've seen on CCTV offcourse every busniess has right to protect there stock.0 -
Holy thread resurrection, Batman!
Remind me never to come on here when I am accused of a crime I did not comit. You guys are brutal!
Whilst I agree that the OP's wife's tale does sound a bit fishy, I don't accept that security guards never, ever make a mistake. To be honest, Mr Tesco, I couldn't actually understand all of your post, but I do think that on occasion people do forget to pay, or the item gets overlooked. Mostly such people are shoplifters, of course, but it could happen to any of us.
If the OP's wife couldn't speak English too well, I would imagine that didn't help matters, and they were perhaps less inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt.
I have lost count of the number of times Tesco have overcharged me when I have checked my receipt. I always assume it is an error in the system, as opposed to a Tesco organised scam to deliberately cheat customers. Tesco should accept that on occasion it happens the other way round as well.0 -
At our local Tesco last week a bloke walked out without paying from a self service machine, he was too bothered with chatting up the much younger assistant. He left and next time he came back it was pointed out that he hadn't paid and he paid the money. He hadn't even realised that he hadn't paid, think his mind was elsewhere. So it does show that people do sometimes make mistakes and leave without paying. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

On the same vein, could people form the opinion that Tesco's had stolen from them when they ran their much advertised half price five fruits a weekoffer a couple of years ago. Which they caught doubling the price of the fruits they reduced the week before...0 -
When we were at school, we often forgot to pay for stuff.
There is a technical term for it, I think it is called stealing.Iva started Dec 2018.0
