I am trying to make more of my presents or at least make nice packaging.

I've made my mum and MIL a card that's attached to the lid of a box. Sounds complicated but it wasn't really. Here's one. I've bought some earrings from M&S to pop in the boxes.

I've also made these cute and very easy to make basket that I'm going to pop some favourite sweets in.

I do make cards and am going to give my mum a box of handmade cards for her birthday with some stamps.

Hi Maria, I've made my mum a little box with a card stuck on the lid. The box has a pair of earrings in (M&S not expensive but I know she will like them). I've also made a little basket out of card and going to fill it with coconut mushroom sweets as they are her favourite. So quite cheap and cheerful but I hope she thinks they are pretty x

  • I shall be baking a cake and making her a cross stitch card. Not terribly exciting but maybe it'll give you a little inspiration.

rainmac - love the card/box -such pretty papers:T Your mum will love it - wish I'd thought of something like that.

Hope MIL appreciates my box of cards and notepaper.
I've recovered a book shaped box I had some notelets in, made some cards, found some blank notepaper so painted some little water colour flowers at the top corner, made a sort of wallet for stamps and covered a pen with pretty paper. She can;t get out to buy things like that herself.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
