Thanks chels - looks as though I should have gone to Specsavers!

Doesn't help my problem with not receiving surveys as it was already set to "as often as possible". Perhaps it is just an age thing.

Yes mine's set to 'as often as possible' as well.

redagila: I'm 68 and just checked my surveys. I had one on 10th April, then 12th, 13th and 14th. I seem to get quite a lot, but I also ensure that I do every survey that comes my way.

I enjoy doing the surveys and feeling that I'm contributing to the numbers, and the £50 doesn't hurt. I remember the first £50 took ages to arrive, but I've got to (almost) my third £50 fairly quickly.

JJ I'm older than you but that never seemed to be a problem until they blocked my account as they said my dob on application was different to that entered on 3 occasions before they blocked it. I have been doing their surveys for a number of years so it is really strange that the discrepancy only appeared after they had the new website!
I would give up now but I have £27 already in credit and don't want to lose it.
Although it used to take me about 12 months to reach the payout I didn't mind that as a £50 cheque is always worth having.
I think I might have to have contact them again but don't want them to throw me off as a nuisance!!

I got a survey today - first one in a week. Hopefully I'll get them on a regular basis again

I get 4-5 a week, rejoined in December 2013 (never reached 5000 on old account) and I am 500pts from my 4th £50 after only redeeming the last one in January

  • I was getting 4 or 5 surveys a week up until a few weeks ago (mainly about the election), but they have slowed down in the last month or so. Hopefully they will get more regular again with the election coming up. My surveys are sent to as often as possible and I do all the ones that I get sent. I claimed £50 last December, and I am more than halfway to my next £50 (I have about 2800 points I think), so it works quite well for me.

Sorry I wasn't sure where this fitted in on the forum but...

A relative does these yougov polls and has earned enough points to qualify for £50 but here's where I'm concerned on their behalf.

To pay the £50, they want her bank account number and sort code - and this has naturally set the alarm bells off.

However, this could all be legit and I'm just over cautious - my question I guess is, have / do any other members of the forum fill in these surveys and have qualified for this £50 and is it legit?

Thank you and apologies if its in the wrong forum section.
  • Yes it's absolutely fine, have claimed a few times.

I have been doing Yougov for years and the money always is sorted very quick. There is no problem with this site asking for the banking details and I hope that you relative ends up with many more £50 as I have :0)
