   OH MY GOD
I posted earlier on the post of the month board for a mobile phone offer I got today, and noticed the votes for this thread so thought I'd give it a read.
I have been sat here absolutely stunned!!! I have read from start to finish, and EL, you are one hell of a fighter and don't you dare give up! I can see how supportive this thread has been and probably wouldn't have continued myself if I was in the same position had it not been for everyone spurring you on. MSE'ers are truly fantastic. :T :T
As I was reading I was thinking YAY, you got the address, OHH, she had moved, YAY you got the right address, YAY you went to court and won so she would have to pay, OHH she has (supposedly) moved again, YAY you have found her again, OHH she has lots of names ... and on it goes.
I can't beleive that I had read all these pages with NO conclusion. It is truly mindblowing!
My bit of advice, I would call the police in for the criminal activity that is obvious here ... I would contact that guy who shows people up for who they are, (McIntosh, McIntyre ??? .. he has a programme on tele) and get in touch with Watchdog wtc etc, there is no way she will escape them and you can be sure they'll find her details.
Failing that, write a book! It would be a bestseller, even made into a film.
The only worrying thing is that this probably happens all the time and its only becasue you have brought it to our attention in this way that we have all learnt from it.
I wish you all the luck and love in the world and will follow this thread through. I will be more of a lurker than a poster, but I will be sending you huge congratulations WHEN you get your money back.

Thanks meerustar for your support - much appreciated - thanks for riding the highs and the lows too!
Pbradley - I saw your vote for post of the month - thank you!
Pruryden - I hope it helps folks, otherwise I might have to start handing out first aid kits for dehydration soon for anyone reading the post as it would take so long for them to arrive at 'today'! Plus the summary is mostly for my sivv of a brain he he...MFW #185

I just read this thread and I hope you nail her and get your money!!! I'd have done the same thing. Just reading this I get frustrated. Good luck.0
-
Thanks Chemgirl - there has definately been some frustration
and still is - the next step is to wait until the court tells us she has returned the court documents, showing she has moved.
Mind you, if they sit on someone's welcome mat for months, we'd be none the wiser and the court will consider it 'served' so we're still stuffed.
The other issue is deciding what paperwork to photocopy and send to the court in advance of the court date on 13th Dec with the letting agent.
Or should we fax the letting agent advising them of the points we plan to raise in court? Might scare them into, I don't know what or might give them more ammo and time to prepare defences.
Oh, Koh Samui I dearly long to enjoy your fine sand and ample sunshine. :rolleyes:MFW #185

I wouldn't tell them anything0

No don't say anything to the agents - anyway they might even be reading this! Save it all for the Court and let them say what they will to the Court. The whole purpose about going to Court is to resolve an issue which cannot be agreed upon. You will never come to an agreement with them so do not waste any time, effort or energy, see them on the 12th December.0

i echo pbradley utterly - let the court do this now EL - this is what you have paid your court fees for
xx0 -
Wow, what a marathon EL! There's gonna be one hell of a celebration when this is finally resolved!0

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around - what with the redundancy, 2 big family birthdays this week and next, leaving do's and having problems getting our travel company to connect our payment with our tickets (grrr) it's been a bit hectic.
Anyway, next week we are going to have to sift through all the paperwork from the last few months and decide what is relevant to photocopy for the court case on 13th Dec against the letting agent. What fun that will be - can't think exactly what the court will want to see, but assume it is docs like when they said we should deal with landlady direct, then the letter after saying she wanted to 'resolve' things, then the latest one stating they had given her the money on 15th August.MFW #185

so you are back into the fray again !! well done you - where do you get your energy from for all these things - go girl !
keep paperwork as simple as possible - courts are busy places - highlight relevant stuff for them to read - most of all - dont worry, its a discussion round a table - do you have someone to go with you for moral support and note taking ?
lots of luck0
