Hi all - yes, we added interest onto the form and it has the standard para that said basically 'interest claimed until court date' etc.
Am off to London this weekend with friends, so am hoping that by end of next week we will know more...MFW #185

Personally I'd register a charge against her home if she fails to pay, it means her house can't be sold / transferred - it's cheap and easy to do and hey wouldn't it be fun to start messing the satanic w*tch around!0 -

OoooOOOOooohhh - that sounds veeeery interesting :T ! How would we get permission to do that - presumably it is if the court awards in our favour?MFW #185

it basically means she can't sell until sorts it out - you have her address and I think it's somehting that would push the issue - the idea that she can't sell her house until she pays you off, it means a buyer couldn't register house and lots of hassle. All for a £55 -sounds less avoidable than debt collectors and of course you can charge the costs to her anyway.
Postnote: Actually the £55 is for the order to force her to sell the house after registering the charge, the initial charge seems to be cheaper to register....0 -
Sorry, just bumping this because I'm really interested to see what comes out of it at the end!Anything I post here is purely my own personal opinion. As such it may be wrong, poorly worded or written very tongue-in-cheek. Please therefore treat it the same way you should treat anything you read on the internet from an unknown person - with a healthy pinch of salt and scepticism!0

Hi everyone - thanks for dropping by - still nothing in the post from either courts or LA - I don't know how long this should take really... They said it would be a couple of weeks so surely this week something would arrive in the post?
I just want to know if the court are going to get her to pay up really... if they ask her to, and she doesn't, will they log a CCJ against her? This would be really bad for her credit file as a home-owner right?MFW #185

if she does not pay, and she would be stupid not to, you go back to the courts and they then order the bailiffs to go and possess property of hers which will be sold to pay the amount the court has ordered she owes you. Whenthe court orders in your favour, she has a week (could be 2) in which to pay in full, and she will not get a CCJ against her - if she pays after that time, she will get a CCJ against her.
Courts are busy places - can sometimes take weeks before a judge looks at the paperwork.0 -

I should imagine you'll get something in the post soon - these things take time, and a lot depends on how busy the court is. If she doesn't pay in 2 weeks (I think) she'll get a CCJ against her name and you can apply for bailiffs. The end is in sight! Just sit tight, and make some plans for what you'll do with your money once you've got it back
We got our letter from the court today, our hearing's been set for early November, so hopefully we'll finally deal with our evil ex-LL! :j2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0
