Can anyone recommend mobile phone tracking sites? At least we could track to see if she collects mail from the address she's 'gone away' from.
Then I could also see if she spends most of her time in Ovingdene or Horsham, thus deciding which address we would go for. Then again, it may be a poor innocent person with the same name!
I am more excited now :j
PLUS, I was overwhelmed by this landlady stuff earlier, so I didn't tell you all...
... that...
Martin :money: is going to publish my spreadsheet (below) in one of the next weekly e-mails, and it will be seen by 650,000 MSER's!!!!! :j :T :j :T :j :T

On 192 you can track a person via their mobile but you need their permission! Don't think she will be very helpful do you? I think it is used by parents for their children or firms keeping track of workers movements. Although I got a free magazine the other day which advised how to catch a cheating partner - you borrow the phone for a while and when the warning text comes through you read it then delete it. What will they think of next?0

I haven't read through all the pages, but has anyone mentioned b4usearch.com? It searches through the electoral register for you. I think it is a year or two out of date but worth a try. Did you get a landline number for either?0 -
Thanks everyone for such support - the stress on this changes daily, seems everytime I think we're close to the end, we're not!
No landline - I think I tried BT before on this and may give it another go.
I am hopeful about the 2 addresses Pbradley got - one in particular, I just hope the initial is the same name I need, but I have no way of finding that out - maybe BT will give more clues.
Just now I went to our old address and asked the newagents on the ground floor (who still keep our mail for us etc) if she has given them a new address. They said no, and she has even been to the property recently. I wonder if she was warning the new tenant about us coming round with questions etc?
Or maybe she was admiring the amazing new modern flat she has now... :mad:MFW #185

If you know which car she drives and the addresses are not too far away then go around to the address one evening and see if the car is outside/in the driveway.0 -
Hi earlylearner,
I have to say this saga is driving me to distraction, so lord only knows how you are coping. You have to keep going though. We are really lucky and have a great LL and hopefully you do now, too.
From what I can remember, you seem to think there is a problem with not being able to ensure your court papers are going to be received by LL from hell as she's already been decalred by here decorator friend as "gone away"?
I am no expert in any of this, but surely, if you can prove that she is still taking delivery of other mail at the c/o address and just ignoring yours, then you can present that as evidence to the court.
As I see it there are a couple of ways to do this;
Get the LA to confirm that the c/o address is the one they still use for the other properties that they still manage for her and that they still receive replies from mail sent there (LA may not want to do any of this in case it looses them such a great LL client!)
Ask the new tenants in your old property if they have been given the c/o address and if they have received any reply to mail sent there (even be cheeky and ask them to write to LL to see if she replies)
Finally, be sneaky and get a friend in another part of the country (postmark won't raise suspicion)to:
Send a registered parcel (an empty box) - few people would turn down a suprise present - and her decorator friend would probably sign, or greedy LL might even get herself down to the sorting office and sign for it
You cannot give up on this. Don't get downhearted, get tough and play her at her own game. Remember, this is your money not hers.0 -

Hi Silver - Pbradley has kindly managed to find 2 possible addresses via 192.com, one of them very strong indeed as the location matches what we already guessed. :T
Now we just have to find out more, maybe I will download land reg details. We also have details of a property in Shoreham that she still rents out but I am sure is hers.MFW #185

:T Thanks so much, it's great to have so much ongoing and loyal support on this - I think we'd have given up long ago otherwise, which is clearly what she wants. The LA don't much care either.aderbyshirelad wrote:From what I can remember, you seem to think there is a problem with not being able to ensure your court papers are going to be received by LL from hell as she's already been decalred by here decorator friend as "gone away"?

This is a great idea - but even of the decorator signs for a parcel or letter, it won't prove that the landlord has seen that mail. I guess the only option would be to ask the new tenant and ask her - but I suspect deeply that the landlady has been there recently to talk to her, maybe about us.
Our best bet may be the newsagent on the ground floor who are really lovely and know the trouble we are having with her - but I presume it would only work is she responded to a letter from them?MFW #185
