EL - could you not get a photograph of her coming out of the property ?0

Post number 1002 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This surely is a record !!!!!!! :j :j :j :j :j :j
I suspect the reason that the MSE community has taken EL so much to their hearts is her inherent sense of "fair play" ; her sense of what is right, and moral; her willingness to ask for help and then go and DO something about it; her persistence and stubborness in learning all about the court system; her refusal to let redundancy get her down; the gratitude which she has shown to EVERY poster on her who has offered their opinion; but, most of all, because ( i have not met her) - she is a very lovely person !!!!!!!
How many other threads have we read in recent months - folks telling about poor accomodation, (for example) and being offered lots of really useful and helpful support, then come back to the Board with a YES - BUT response - after a while these threads die a natural death.
It is so true, that we are all keen to help others, as long as they are willing to help themselves.
EL - you have this willingness in SPADES !!!!!!!!!! :kisses: :kisses: :happylove
first time i have ever worked out how to post "smilies"0 -

Hi all,
Thanks again for all the answers - you are right in saying we should attend and we def want our day in court.
I have been offered another days work today (that's 3 days under my belt already this week since coming back from Thailand, for occasional work which I wasn't expecting until next week!)
This does mean I have to leave soon and won't be back til later so prob can't work on the court stuff again today. I will call the Lewes office again and hope they can fax me a dated letter for today, with a copy of what they wrote before saying she's been on the register for ages etc.
If we are attending on Weds, there is no point sending the letter asking them to ignore her request to set aside judgement?
I guess in this case we need to focus on the bundle of paperwork we will take with us on Weds and what we are going to say.
As Auntie C righly says, we have to expect her to be vile (it comes naturally to her) and try to make us out the bad guys. In our statements we must re-iterate all the letters we sent to the only address we had been given. Plus we have to show the crucial letter from LA on her behalf wanting to negotiate, on 11th September, well after court case had begun. The letter from Lewes Reg will also be crucial - something in our weaponry that she prob has no idea that we have gotten hold of.
Amazing to see the level of posts we now have -:T thanks everyone once again for your patience while I dither and ask more and more of you - I know that I wouldn't have gotten this far without the prods, hints and tips from these very pages which have become like a second home and such a supportive place to be. :T
Thanks also Auntie C for your comments- with 3 self-employed days this week and another 3 booked for next week, it's nice to know I'm at least starting on an ok level and hit the ground running. I do have a sense of fair play (I'm a Cancerian and often far too considerate of others feelings / whether something os fair or not etc plus with a moon in Libra this means I always have to see if the scales are balanced and, again, fair!:D)
In terms of post of the month / post of the year - I noticed that the other votes for posts that won when you previously kindly nominated me, were posts that helped people more directly, so I guess this here post of ours doesn't seem to fall under that category . Still, what matters is next Wednesday 17th we have our Rocky Balboa moment against Ladlady From Hell - something that has taken months to achieve and is about more than money now.
It's about Truth! It's about Honesty! It's about Fairness!

A c/o address would be inadequate for pursuing the judgement. The letting agent was and still employed/contracted to act as the landlords agent and they were notified on mulitple occasions throughout proceedings resulting in limited response from the landlord.

A receipt doesn't need VAT details - in fact if the trader isn't VAT registered it shouldn't have them.
The receipt having the same address as the LL doesn't mean it's not valid but might require some explanation.0 -

Does that letter indicate she was aware of the court action?
Or are you making the assumption that the LA had told LL of the court action?0 -
